Slackware. I think I used this on my work laptop too. Some of my clients were pretty impressed when they saw me working.

Min is dual boot, desktop wise very difficult to be using only Linux sure have something only Windows can support one.

I'm running dual boots as well. Not a hardcore fan of any OS, so better to have the best of both worlds.

maybe not, but if you don't mind tinkering, can start by converting a old windows pc to linux os
