Hi! once again, thanks! But i will be using at least 2 monitor cause i do a lot of comparing, is it still okay to use 1 gpu? My concept is to use 3 monitor. That is y i go for SLI, wanted to go for 3x GPU, but the staff told me for 1080, '2' is enough.

well 3 display for a single GTX 1080 is still acceptable, unless all 3 screen is 1440p or 4k, den go for sli is fine, but still depends on the game developer.

next nvidia now not encouraging their consumer/buyer for triple or quad sli configuration, as u will need a special keys from them to unlock it, but u wouldn't get the performance u need in some tasks. esp like dx12 game.

Ok, you seem very blur yet rich. Let me explain this clearly to you

CPU: You have an i7-6700 with a Z170 motherboard and H115i cooler. I recommend changing it to a i7-6700k.

Motherboard: As stated, you got a Z170, so I guess you can learn to overclock down the road

GPU: 2 GTX 1080 is totally a waste for someone who just wants to game on 2 monitors. 1 GTX 1080 itself is overkill. Are your monitors 1440p 144Hz or 4k? If they are not, I suggest maybe getting just 1 GTX 1080

Cooler: Overkill+Looks+Premium for a 6700.

Ram: 16GB Will provide lag-free chrome browsing and gaming but 32GB is fine if you got money tree :p

Power Supply : 1200W is too much for a build with 2 GTX 1080. Maybe look for a 850W if you want 2x 1080 or 650W if you want to use just 1x 1080.
Otherwise, the 1200W power supply will only be providing a 35% output 24/7 which is not optimal. 85% output is optimal and better current flow, hence why you should downgrade your power supply.

you can always buy one for now, then sell it later when 1080ti comes out :s12::s12:

if wants to do diy, gotta be flexible, if not might as well get pre build.
just a simple google on multi gpu scaling you will get alot of informations on how multi gpu doesnt always gives you the performance gain that most expected on not optimized game.

Corsair Graphite series 760T black ATX casing
Corsair H115i CPU Cooler

Any advise, anything is not compatible or can upgrade(MB)?

I open alot of tab using google chrome, and sometime while playing game. i wan a computer that i can alt tab here and there without any lag.
Not really playing any high end game nor overclocking
Just wan to build a really 'solid' DIY Computer since this is my first DIY com. Thanks for your advise.

Change to a 6700K. Change to 1 gpu. Go home test and play. Not enough for your taste then add in another gpu. Do not jump the game and straight away go for 2x gpu. PSU... just choose any 1Kw psu. Save the money.

Oh! meaning if using single GPU, 2x port using HDMI and 1x using display port, right? Majority of users will use 3x same inches monitor right? they wont be using 1x 4k n 2 FHD monitor, it will be weird right? Thanks for the explanation, kind of in-depth on special keys part. May i ask you, how about the motherboard? Too many MB to know the diff in a short period of time. I trust the staff based on his experience n reputation.(wanted to ask him, but he is freaking bz with the customerSSSSSS)

it's a lot of meat for a first time DIY. when i started diy pc, i didn't even know how to install a cpu cooler, let alone use an AIO. so i just got all cheap components. u seem to know yr components well for a 1st timer. anyway, it's all ok if u wana get the best even if u don't really need it. most importantly, u enjoy and as a first timer, obviously knowing how to fix, plug cables, manage cables etc.

May I ask how much does this config cost????

More than 3k?
I can pm you. I dun want others to get the wrong idea, that y i exclude the pricing on the invoice. At first i wanted to type out all the parts, but when i looked at the invoice, i was like OMG.(Some user still get the wrong idea, so i removed the invoice as well)

@Boiijek, thank you. would really buy you a meal over this. Dont hv an expert friend on computer. Will call in and ask for 6700k! Do you mind to give advice on MB too? Like any ASUS board i should specifically go for?

2X is better but like what some mentioned might be overkill. It's not too late to buy another card but it is too late to regret if you buy 2 cards when one is enough.

People that goes for 2x gpus are usually people who know what they are doing and what they want. If you are uncertain about it, go for one first.

Motherboard is ok, just change to a 6700K. Else, i see no issue with sticking to a 6700 either. Up to you.

He helped me with all the parts and ask me whether i m alright with it anot then i agreed. he DIDNT pressure or persuade me to get this specs. As i said, since this is my first DIY computer, i wanted to really get a dam solid computer once and for all.

CF/SLI performance depends on the game itself. some will work better, others not. u can google which games perform better with dual GPUs.

i've used it before and it's relatively bug free except some simple games like Fifa where there's artifacts. in the end, i see no point as it consumes more power and pushes more FPS but there's only so much FPS needed for my 1080p 60hz monitor.

in the end, 99% of the games will do well enough on a single GPU. The common reason y ppl SLI is because instead of getting that better card, they save some money to get another older card, which may equal the performance of that new card.

other reasons are purely an enthusiast thing. some even for the looks of it and so on.

erm.. there's no once and for all for computer. either games will be more demanding, 4K whatever K coming out or you run out of your warranty for your products.

I think next time you should tell the person what's your usage instead of budget you have.
1. In case he want chop you carrot
2. You can put your money elsewhere. maybe a mechanical keyboard or good mouse/speakers or smth.

After seeing what u said, i felt abit disappointed. Didnt knw its like. I feel like removing 1 GPU, need just few more for opinion/advise.

He waived off the hardware n software installation for me.

the 1080 itself is very very solid for gaming already. if u still wana try, u can still install it. there won't be much issues cos u can turn on/off the dual GPU option in the GPU settings. so while the system has 2 gpus installed, it is running just one. u can then play around and see which games run better.

download msi afterburner to see what results yr getting so u can compare.

u can always make your money's worth by playing graphically demanding games like Crysis 3, Doom 4. Those that make yr gpu hot like hell and really load up yr cpu. if u just intend to play Counterstrike, Dota, i mean, it's just going to look good and not do anything better than a single card.

Don't be disappointed. There's always the need and the want. Do u need it? No. Do u want it? It's really up to u cos in the end, a hobby is more about wants than needs.

Well yes normally each gpu can support multi display, just that weather your usage is for gaming or stock trading or normal work.

Yes many would rather get the same size monitor instead of different resolution or size monitor, unless they wan main screen big with other side screen small, eventually depends on each user.

As for mobo really depends cos sli configuration would prefer if u can get a 16x/16x or 8x/8x but the 1st 16x/16x only applies to x99 board which gives out more pci-e lanes, next 8x/8x happens a on z170 board as it has lesser lane than x99. So eventually if u want the 16x sli, best goes with x99 mobo.

I suggest (like most people here already did) to read up on the various games to see if single or dual gpu runs better. And not buy dual gpu to turn off one.

Tell us what game you gonna play, what monitor you plan to get 3x of and lastly tell us your budget so we can change stuff up appropriately for you.

Also tell us your preference to overclocking
