Have a set of fitbit flex bands for sale. It's the box with the 3 colors. Bought it today, used the orange band for a few hours and my fitbit flex decided to die on me.

Selling at $40. Please PM me if keen.

Large size.

Hi. I got an extra black band (SMALL), because I only used the large one, looking to trade with any other colours for a large band. The small one is unused.

I was at Funan Challenger Store yesterday (20 Jul) and the Orange Fitbit Flex(S$129) is having 10% off, and FREE 3 bands set (worth $39) for Challenger members.

I was abit reluctant due to bad reviews on batteries not charging and inaccuracy. Then came this man in early 40s, he was wearing a black flex and picking up one set…

I chat up with him… His flex is about 1.5yrs… battery is depleting very quickly now, hence is buying another one to replace. He also mentioned he had tried UP and fitness watches… but stick to Flexbit Flex. He’s advice is to clean as often as possible, especially after sweaty activities… He never go shower with it.

As for accuracy, he said its within good error range when compared his other devices during jogging… but not really for daily activities… “for its price, give and take abit and know yourself. It’s just FYI”

After that, I picked up the Orange and I signed up as member for $30... total damage: $141.60

After purchase, I went around Marina Bay for photography walk/stroll… from Funan, Singapore river, Victoria Hall, Fullerton, Financial, MBS, NDP platform, Esplanade and finally ended back to Victoria Hall... ONE big round

After about 3hrs…

Cal Burned
Runkeeper Apps: I burned 527cal for 160mins (But I did paused about 30mins collectively when I was inside buildings and quick lunch else GPS will run crazy on my tracking map!)
If I include 30mins into it… about 625cal

Flex shows I burned 730cal…

Differences : 105cal

Distance:
Runkeeper: Shows 8.1Km… but there were some GPS error… maps shows I was in the middle of river and dashed into Gardens by the Bay… so I will take 1.5km worth out… = about 6.6km

Flex shows 6.1KM covered.

Sleep:
Nothing to compared with. I was died tired... and the sleep tracking shows 1 x awake(huge body movement) and 29x restless (small movements)

Me again... This time walking home from SengKang Mrt... Along main road, exposed sky, no under blocks

Controlled readings:
Time taken: 8min25s (according Runkeeper)
According to distance measuring app as close to my path as possible: 0.633km

Runkeeper(GPS):
0.66km (some GPS error, running into school??)
39cal

Fitbit Flex, set for and wore on Domain hand.
0.58km
65cal
808 steps

Myfitnesspal: 36cal
(I choose 12.5mins per KM and input 9mins.)

I will disregard the cal by flex... As we can see it's over rated. I'll reply on Myfitnesspal for the food calories intakes...

Yep... all the same. I read that each device uses different value for their own formulas for Cal...

Just noticed something... my "Cal estimation" was enable... hmmm wonder how difference will that make...

my BMR (The normal body burning rate) is 1720/day... = 1.2cal burned per minute...

9mins of 1.2cal + 36cal(online cal calculator for walking) = 46.8cal only...

anyways... will be disabling the Est. Cal... see how it goes...

This will probably be my last post of my findings... Else if there are ppl still keen...

Yesterday 23 July, at home before stepping out to work, I placed the fitbit flex sensor device in my right sock- above the ankle and wore it for the whole day.

Again, same spot, same route to walk home...

The readings are

827 steps(about 18 more than on wrist)
0.6km (about 0.01km more wrist. Actual map distance measure is ard 0.633km)

67 cal... (About 4 more than wrist - MFP and Runkeeper tells me averaging 40cal for the same)
