Not an owner of any FitEar gears but reporting in to support anyway, quite interested in the Monet customs myself, and there could be a possibility of me hooting a pair of F111's or white prototype Parterre on the horizon (not that commercial model that was pre-released during Fujiya-avic's Autumn fest), if it ever gets an official release.
:o

Mr Keita Suyama is definitely a very nice and friendly guy though, am extremely grateful to him for signing on my Mone Sakamoto brochure. :D

And just a small tidbit for those of you guys who do not know abt this, personally spoken with him at the 1st Mook fest held during August this yr, and he has confessed that he is personally a huge fan of voice seiyuu/singer Maaya Sakamoto. (probably also where he got the inspiration for the artwork design of Mone frm, since both of them sport similar hairstyles)

It's great to know that Mr Suyama and I both share similar tastes and are both a fan of hers, since I have already been long acquainted with Maaya Sakamoto's vocals since I was young, when I first came across an anime TV series called RahXephon back in 2002 where she voice-acted and sang the main theme song, but it wasn't only until slightly a few yrs later when I got myself more into her music that I realised I have already heard her voice-acting when i was just a kid, from anime series such as Record of Lodoss War (where Mediacorp used to air this series on local TV before).

But I think those who do not exactly watch japanese animes or listen to anisongs much, probably you will only recognise her as the voice seiyuu of games such as Final Fantasy XIII, where she was responsible as the voice seiyuu of the character Lightning.
:)

A fitear is not going to be able to buy a high end hifi system.. at least not one that performs to the same level in some aspects.

Why I like Fitear is just that it tends to have a balanced sound, more so than other brands.

When I started looking around for earphones, I found it strangely difficult to find something as balanced sounding as the stock ipod earphone (though its performance is not good) when going up the performance/price tree.

Most earphone brands I tried seem to try to add their own coloration or 'character' rather than keep to a more neutral tone.. and even fitear is not immune to this (e.g. the TG334), but at least I think they achieved something which can be pleasing in this respect and in line with their goals for the unit. It's good to have choices for consumers afterall, and I think most people like coloration.

Still one of the better brands I've come across so far, for earphones. :)

From my experience so far, actually I feel portable audio is pretty capable in terms of earphone selections. The technology has moved quite a lot since I last looked at it and the Fitear CIEMs are pretty impressive. I like both the 335 and 435 for different reasons.

The only problem I think is just that the DAP and DAC/Amp has yet to catch up.. but that's another discussion point as there are so many limitations. Still, I think that if more performance can be yielded from this area, we'd appreciate the differences of the Fitear even more.

Similar things can be said about hifi setups actually, especially for PC based systems which are finally able to compete with 'mid-range' CD players of $10-20k, although much has to be done for higher end. This was only a dream 5 years ago where PC systems were only able to compete at the <$5k range, IMO.

Wonder if anyone else has plugged in their Fitear into a higher end home based system?

Indeed. The DAP and DAC/Amp portion really need to catch up, and judging from some of the older gears i've heard, the DAP business has been declining in the price to performance factor.

So far, the Fitear range have sounded their best during my auditions using the DX100 and AK120. Somehow they were made for each other, which really brings back to the point that Fitear customs really need Sabre dacs or Dual-Dacs, to show how good they can sound.

My favorites C435, Paterre and TG334. Each a unique flavor. :D

Most brands even for speakers they are tuned for specific genres of music.. maybe the makers themselves only like this few genres of music.. and frankly speaking to tune and cross feed all this BA drivers to produce a balanced sound is super difficult and require good ears too..

Fitear is the only brand i pay the $$$ w/o thinking of the price.. :D i am literally impress.. this is largely because i listen to all junks...

If i am the rock and pop music lover JH will be enough for me and i can save tonnes of $$$ too:s13:

1 is portable and 1 is home system so it's totally different thing.

If u buy a high end hi fi system and spend not much time sitting down and listen is as good as wasting money.

Moi is always music on the go one so FITEAR will suit me better.
