When a product gets hyped beyond necessary, it generates unrealistic market demands, which in turns jacks up the price of the product (cos sellers think there's real demand).

It's the way of the capitalistic world

u dun see some other audio brands price increase so much after hyped up.. is much of the ** seller who do it.. i am surprise suyamu allows them to do it.. I still remember i got a shock of my life when i asked abt the price of the AKG K1000 when just discontinued.

Is very much both vendor (ie. Fitear) and distributor (ie. Jaben) factor for price increase.

vendor for not controlling the retail price/let distri earn greater margin while they keep their share = profiteering.

distributor for profiteering beyond the recommended retail price set by vendor (without knowledge/or with consent).

Such practice in the long term does little to grow the business, in fact, is opportunity for other vendors to seize more business. Hence, we don't see others increasing their prices.

Lol when there is demand there will be markup. Not like you can get fitear customs anywhere besides Jaben in Singapore. People who love the sound will have to bear the cost.

True when the person can justify and afford the mark up.

But to others, it will just turn them off... :s13:

At distributor level yes.
At vendor level, JH has maintained its prices over the years.

Depending on who ask, the inflation factor plays a part.
Can't be paying for the same thing $10 ten years ago today right?
