but a recent study i have read is that, in a hospital setting, with enjoyable music playing in the ward (single bed ward), patients recover faster than other patients. Also, their mood/affect are more positive, which may also attribute to faster recovery rate. :s12:

QFT. I'm a strong advocate of music listening that contributes to health benefits. It has proven to help me sleep better, is able to cure insomnia (My Mum used to suffer frm alittle insomnia but it was cured after I got her some decent IEMs to go with her iPhone) and back during my army days, if srsly no radio/music daily, I will always be damn lethargic/moody while sitting in the office.

ok, then also paint your room walls with light colours, it also helps to promote positive psychology as well.

^ i actually did a simple and similar experiment to test for positive emotions to the wall colour the participant wants in their bedroom, and the results proved significant as well.

however, if gender considered, males tend to like slightly darker shades of the light color compared to females... which our results are consistent with similar researches in the UK, Europe and US. :s12:

I think his wallet in serious dire straits liao, PF X ish once buy liao die c-ock standing srsly. :s13: Even as a lover of the PF series pretty much myself i also won't spend 3888 to hoot PF X sia. Just pure madness.

And of course if we were to use Guan's usual analogy behind the ROI abt portables vs desktop rigs, opening yr wallet and paying 3888 for something portable-fi wise, is just going up against all odds under the same context as well. Spending up to 4K is no joke srsly for a portable investment, i seriously urge destrozer to think abt his decision carefully although to put it in another way, I have to personally admit that the PF series are certainly very beautifully-designed gems to look/admire at as well.

in the study, they specifically stated that they either play happy tunes (such as festive music... like Xmas) or, a playlist created by the family members of the patient or the patient him/herself.

Yup pretty much. Chatted wif someone frm his forum b4 who owns the SR-009, been using the JH13 (believe his is old revision not FP variant) and is a current owner of the FitEar Monet CIEM as well. Believe he got his SR-009 setup for ard 3K+.

Uh not really. In all honesty just to share frm my experience, you still can use the Piano Forte series pretty much anywhere outside as long as it's not extremely noisy/in train crowds during evenings. I have used the PF IX's before at public cafes, as well at places with non-noisy ambience usually such as some lounge/pubs before, while waiting for my friends. It's definitely viable and the FAD's are extremely sensitive and easy to power with almost any DAP source w/o the need for amps, unlike some dynamic IEMs out there that can be quite power hungry.
