FF getting bad to worse. soap dispensers with no soap in them, patrons keep discriminatingly throw their dirty clothes and towels on the floor. faulty lockers that cant open when unlock. service staff all look bored out of their ears. Personal Trainers who are fat themselves and dont know how to coach a trainee to perform the exercises with correct form.

With so many anytime fitness, crossfit, BFT, etc opening and eating their lunch, dont expect them to last for long. Im already amazed that they survived the covid lockdowns

AF isn't in the same league as FF due to no classes provided. And other fringe benefits like workout attire, steam / sauna room, etc.

I prefer FF for the accessibility locations but AF for the "anytime" component and if you know what you want to work out.

from my understanding, the classes and workout attire need to pay extra. only thing is sauna not avail in AF chain, which is obvious for not having them (without outright stating why).

so it still cost more effective to train at AF chains if you dont need the classes and workout attires.

Classes yes, it's an add-on to the base gym subscription. Attire should already be part of it regardless class or not although I am not certain. Again, both AF and FF offers its own form of convenience. AF if you are focused on free weights and machines and do not need attire and wants to go at wee hours. FF operates from 6-10pm normally and provides attire and classes and more accessible locations.

FF charges more if you opt for attire. i will say FF seems to me going down or rather they giving me the vibe of this. i think after cny alot the outlets i went to always no shower gel or shampoo. even alot of PT left. and not going to lie the usual members i see had all left and i wont be renewing my member in few months time.

The hand soap dispenser with no soap is totally understandable and unacceptable, how do they expects members to properly wash their hands? Even public mall toilets have soap dispenser. Seems like Fitness First is having some cash flow and serious business sustainable issues that their management needs to resolve.

I don't use their workout attire and steam/sauna room. I am still paying the retail rate of $205 per month.

I pay for my Fitness First Platnium Passport Membership at the retail rate of $205 per month. I oneself choose not to use their workout attire because I prefer my $150 per piece lululemons.
Top $80
Bottom $150
Underwear $25
Socks $30
Shoes $250
Bottles $38
Total 1 set of attire = $573 x 7 sets for a week!

I go to Fitness First mainly for their classes and accessible locations.

I am not sure why the majority of usual long-time Fitness First members had left during the pandemic in 2020 and did not return ever since, for me I continued paying every month through the pandemic to support their business but was very disappointed in them. They should roll out a special commemorative membership card for us those that had stayed with them throughout the pandemic, just check the past payments it's easy and new membership card is not that expensive, just give us that special gold VIP card with no extra privileges. I am even willing to pay $100 for it.

Its like dilemma. I jump from AF to FF cause of FF having lesser people crowd than AF and FF has more facilities, swimming pool sauna etc. But i start to miss AF 24 hours. VA outlets too little though.

AF and GymmBoxx are both 24/7 but does not have amenities such as front counter staff and towels?
But I think both of them do have classes? How does F45 works? Classes?
Chimp Champ is quite good

Today, have a tour on FFP at Jurong East.

Wow, surprisingly the place was packed with so many people and few pretty ladies who I never saw in AF.

I never noticed there is a steam/sauna room there :s8:

As compared to AF, FFP is definitely on the premium side and I do like the 1.2m swimming pool there. The changing room, toilet n bathroom are like those massage sauna size, big area.

The only con which I can think of it's the more expensive pricing and also it's not 24 hours, also much lesser branches as compared to AF.

Price for 12 months is $155 and for 24 months is $145 with towel, attire provided.
You can go to their other branches @ AMK, Junction8 which is cheaper by $10 if you don't want their towel n attire provided. But once you register there n come to Jurong East Branch to train up, you will also not be given free attire n towel.

Whereas for AF is way cheaper but then you can't really compared the facilities to FFP.

Fitness First Platinum Westgate?

After many years I’m used to the pricing (is worth noting that as an AIA vitality member, you will still be enjoying a preferential rate even after this price adjustment, as AIA Vitality members joining Fitness First since 1st January 2023 are paying $163.00 (inclusive of GST), 20% off the retail rate of $205.00. ).

Standard Fitness First facilities lah I’m used to it, watch out for towels with holes or old towels, aging facilities, empty hand soaps and faulty facilities.

I stayed on paying every month throughout the pandemic for the friends I made there (few pretty ladies friends). There is two types of steam/sauna room there wet and dry.

FF the changing room, toilet n bathroom are like those massage sauna size, big area is expected for the pricing we pay.

Price for 12 months is $155 and for 24 months is $145 with towel, attire provided. So good? I pay much more but I don’t use their attire and nearly gave up using their towels

Whereas for AF is way cheaper but then you can't really compared the facilities to FFP. aF is another league cannot compare.

Is this for single club access only? And for gym floor access only, no classes?

No, you can go to other branches but then like what I say if you're applying on FF branch without provision of towel n attire n you go to those which provide, you will still also not get the towel n attire too.

For the price ( 12 or 24 months ), there is 1 free class and it's up to which class you wanted to attend to. You can registered for extra class but need to pay extra about $50 depending on what class. There is also 1 day free PT and some other goodies ( more for the 24 months plan ).

Actually the thing which attract me is the swimming pool.

Okay lah the facilities used to be much better pre-pandemic where there were renovations at Paragon to refresh the club.
