I just had dim sum at Yan Ting for lunch on Friday. Seems like standards have improved a little. I still love their egg tart and char siew sou

Yeah Wong Ah Yoke reviewed them, say they change chefs etc.

Lots of family reunion lately cos cousins came back from overseas. Should be trying it this sat.

And had the po lo bao. Was good!

WAY is not exactly the most impartial person so I would take his words with a huge pinch of salt I have met him a few times. Nice person but he is too "famous" for restaurants not to know him, even if ST states that they pay for their meals

Nope nothing else. Everything else is decent but not great

Just went back to Prego for lunch today after their new facelift. Honestly, it looks the same except for the antipasti counter they have at the front. Had a hand pulled (not thin crust) pizza and pan seared seabass. Seabass was horrible but pizza quite good. Tiramisu also good. Skip the mushroom soup with truffle oil though.

mad looooove their squid ink pasta! especially the prawns- the plump and juicy ones. slurps! the dishes there are generally good though.

actually i have seen people ordering without the chor-beehoon but it looks very sad and price still the same

that's oso my fave way of eating it at home, but i will add tau-pok coz very shiok!!

I like laksa too but I never dare to drink finish the whole bowl of gravy. My side I usually ordered the $3 bowl which is very filling for me.

That's how I ate my laksa at Straits Cafe - just slurp up all the gravy with prawns, pork ribs and chili...hahah

Tow gay is okay but can't take too much as there is quite a bit of carbs in the stalk...

aiyoh i cannot resist finishing the whole bowl of gravy, unless it is not nice. That's why i try not to eat laksa.

So Straits Cafe you can make it? After that you still got the Senior Citizens Katong Excursion. If not, don't force yourself.
