g9x has better image quality, than those 2.

Nikon D3400 looks attractive at current price with gifts. It is less than half the price of Pentax K-70 that I'm also looking at. The latter is weather resistant that is good for outdoor use but the battery life of the former is phenomenal.

I'm still struggling between a compact and entry level DSLR camera.

The latter is quite bulky but quality of photos is very good.

The feedback from my friends is generally they use their DSLR only once or twice a year. In Carousell many people are selling their very underused DSLR cameras too.
