For customised PC, is it better to use small, medium or large PC case?

Such PC has 1 year warranty. DIY may not be cheaper but motherboard, cpu have 3 years warranty and rams are lifetime for brands like Kingston... Those 3 component covered the main build. And you can choose more reputed Samsung for SSD with 5 years warranty if I remember correctly... Power supply + casing can even get second hand from carousel cheap cheap.

You started this thread asking for customized PC which is the better option. Dell isn't better. Some people said they prefer to just go to Dell in case of any issue but there usually no issue on first year. One year + 1 day, your "Branded" OEM PC isn't going to better warranty than Diy.

Just go sim Lim look for dynacore/laser/PC theme/fuwell... Hope those shops are still around.

DIY Need lobang price to get cheaper, bargain hunting. downgrade useless stuff, like 14gen get 13gen or even 12gen for better discount. DDR4 instead of DDR5, totally cheap now, just upgrade to 64GB for LOL. GPU and motherboard, definitely need 3 year warranty, if spoilt can RMA and sell. Power supply have lifespan also better get new one. Yes for casing

Yes. That's why I say diy may not be cheaper but offered better values in terms of warranty.

My wife like very small footprint but she needs high end parts for work. So imagine small form factor + high heat. Anything want to add or troubleshoot is really troublesome and problematic.

Ok. Ok. Thanks for clarification. I never order or will never order such PC... Don't we called these type OEM PC just like Dell, HP, aftershock, Lenovo?
These are called "white box", built by small companies like Aftershock. Their parts are mostly off the shelves. On the other hand, OEM PCs are built by big brand names like Dell Acer Lenovo; their motherboards, casing and psu are customised as an integrated system to cut cost and to make smaller PCs. In the past, each of these integrated parts could hardly be replaced by off the shelf items although rams, drives, cpu can usually be replaced. I think nowadays they also tried to use off the shelf parts to be customer-friendly and competitive.

In the past, I will open the side panel, turn on aircon, use table fan to blow it.

i realise the heating is actually no joke, its like an reverse ac system.

Should have a bracket at the window to put the PC outsai so the heat dissipates outside like older ac system lol

instead of noctua coolers go thermalright phantom spirit 120se instead

1/3 of the price and performs slightly better.
or if you fancy AIO can get arctic freezer iii which is slightly cheaper than the NH-D15.

and cases nowadays are pretty alright compared to 10-15 years ago.

Think further and far ahead. You need future-proof your rig.

Broadband Network speed and Storage (Redundancy) technology usually remain static for years, you could spend heavily on this, reap its benefits in the long run.

Running a NAS server pc with good CPU with docker system, provide network storage for your pc, notebooks and mobile, or even cctv/webcam. Since this rig likely 365days x 24hrs, get a multi-bay mATX chassis but using 2U PSU under 300W, low watt CPU.

Your regular pc should be a notebook with your specific need, good gpu for games, or powerful cpu for heavy computing.

Sample Chassis:
