Yes, nothing changed

These illegal nonsense has been going on for years and still is until today this very moment

So in other words, need to rely on people to complain first

So as the authority, they're saying "it's decentralised, bo pian, we don't know how to catch them ourselves, can't do anything about it"

Smh

Like that on a daily basis, more and more lunches are being illegally stolen from the sinkie riders and the authority says, "we rely on public to complain then can take enforcement action"

Smh

Useless
Tats y I say, sg is a rule of law country in name in some areas Oni. It's actually quite lawless with no enforcements in many other areas.

These delivery drivers work for delivery companies, right ? So the law change be made to penalise the companies if their delivery drivers use foreigner vehicles ?

The enforcement will be at the source.

Aiya MOM useless one.
Just look at the jlb minister - he only know how to resort to Cantonese theatrics in parliament, when faced with questions he either don't know or cannot answer.

He spend most of his time watching old Andy Lau Cantonese movies

https://stomp.straitstimes.com/sing...o-for-making-illegal-deliveries-in-spore-this

"A question about illegal foreign delivery riders was raised in Parliament in November 2023.

The Manpower Minister said in a written answer: "The nature of food delivery work is decentralised and mobile. Hence, the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) relies mainly on complaints to detect possible instances of foreigners working illegally as food delivery riders, in order to carry out enforcement actions.

"From 2018 till Oct 18, 2023, MOM received a total of 163 complaints on suspected illegal foreign delivery riders."

Kudos to Danny n friends.

So tis issue has been ard for yrs n even raised in parliament in 2023. Wat changed?

N dun say Singaporeans like to complain. Mom minister say they rely on complaints to take action. So no complaints they dun work😂
That’s why most govt agencies just mostly shake leg, collect pay.

Ohh got complain…

Step1: Can taichi ? If can, just taichi to another agency…
Step2: Reply with standard “monitoring” template
Step3: Put into backlog for prioritization
Step4: Check budget
Step 5: No budget ? - reply with “monitoring” template

I think it's not wrong to say the authority is useless and powerless

1) Got manpower laws but cannot enforce when they are violated by illegal foreigners

2) sit down wait for members of public to feedback complaints then can do work enforcement

3) When do enforcement, cannot catch all, only catch a few

4) this is a longstanding case, been around for few years, still cannot and/or settle it fully and cleanly. The illegal nonsense still going on.

5) Got loopholes in the delivery ecosystem, cannot plug the loopholes. Should engage and go after the platform operators and all others also cannot

Useless

Their work status is not legal. You're mixing up things abit here alr.

So if anything happens n they just run back wat u gonna do?

Let's say u engage them, any happens. Will they be responsible for anything?

I think that's nonsense

Taxi and phv driving only for Singaporean citizens to do, no PRs

But you see this food delivery, it's open to PRs and Singaporeans

Why allow PRs to do?

see?

Open big big again, blatantly let PR foreigners steal lunches from sinkies

Smh
