Speaking of RMB I just did a damage assessment of devaluation. From my lifetime memory SGD/CNH physical note rate hit 5.15 highest. Currently 5.09.

SGD/CNH 52 Week Low/High
4.9136 - 5.103

If your average buy price is around 5.00 level you are quite safe.

Interest yield from a local RMB 12 Month Fixed Deposit 2.85% p.a. will erase the exchange rate losses. Provided you are not in a hurry to convert back to SGD. If you park onshore the yield is even higher at around 4%. Considered low by mainland standards as you can easily get 5-6% yields around 4 years ago.

this week's scam pairs against me is AU AJ, good thing i took whatever dtf profits i can last night and siam, then this morning price action gao gao from aussie news (downbeat data but AU AJ still going up, market markers )

wanted to re-short on the earlier news pump, heng ah bo fomo ...will re-short AU AJ at higher prices and maybe NU together

i'm favoring GU GJ until next week too...Eur gonna be rocky next week due to bunch of news so maybe staying out
