One thing I learnt from FX, is don't be 'overwhelmed' by what you see. Things can look like gone case at one moment and the next it swings around in your favour or vice versa. Esp. true if you r a swing trader. It all depends on the timeframe you trade.

In fact most of my winning position came from those that nearly hit my stop (like only 1 or 2 pips away) :)
do you mean almost get stopped out before it reverse in your favour again?

Sweet. I got +20 and BE.

This week is chock full of news. The S/R zones hold for only a little while before crashing through it. My strategy this week damn bad man ):

Wanna hear some views on this. I got into a trade which the timeframe that i trade (hourly) shows a hammar pinbar. However after I got into the trade, rechecked the daily and found out that the daily is a bearish engulfing.

Would you guys enter such a trade in the first place given these 2 conditions?

Well, in my case. I give priority to Higher Time Frame, like i mentioned before.

So if i see a bearish engulfing on daily. I won't even bother to look at the hourly chart.

Put it this way.

i) Bearish engulfing on Daily Chart ; Bears won the game after whole day of fighting

ii) Bullish Candle on hourly ; Bulls only won the game after fighting for 1 hour.

So which one do you think is more significant?

Hint ; Bear won the war and bulls only won a battle. :)

I see a very bearish hourly candlestick on XAU/USD. Seems like the ball has started rolling.

Your question is not getting to the root of the matter.
You saw an opportunity on the 60minute timeframe. I don't know what it is, but it's not only a bar isn't it. You understood something about buyers and sellers.
Then why do you care about what's happening on the daily chart, and moreover you are looking at 1 bar in the daily chart. You are looking at a word in a sentence or paragraph. By itself, it's meaningless.
The daily chart has it's own story but your story in on the 60 minute. I know a lot of people look at higher timeframe to confirm this and go into smaller time frame. If it works for you, great. If it just confuses you, try to stick to 1 timeframe and see how it works out. I personally get a headache if i do that multiple TF thing made popular by a Dr A

Great to hear from different sides of the table. Just wanted to hear the views. Anyway I didnt really do my homework well for this trade. Made a mistake of entering first and then checked on the daily time frame. Normally I will only trade when both the daily and the hourly align together.

Anyway tonights the first friday of the mth. Happy Pipping

I hope everyday had a great NFP day!

Closed my USDJPY long, banking 1900+ pips. Too bad NFP couldn't boost it up to 2k+.
