Below par? Still hold at 1.003 today. Now drop below par liao...bought some to hold..
Its okay, just make sure you learn from experience. There may be more attractivce counters with better yield.I applied for it and got allocated, but then I had other thoughts and sold them at original value.
Total loss about $30 (broker fee & initial application charges)
I was too impulsive.
Not only this, even Astrea group some with pretty good yield already and with shorter duration left.0.98+.
Now yield above 5%.
Yesterday just went to Northpoint City. Seems business not too bad.
Time to nibble.![]()
yep. nibbling astrea 4 also. ytm is high cos left 8 months nia.Not only this, even Astrea group some with pretty good yield already and with shorter duration left.
Probably not worth for Astrea 4 la as it trades at 1.014, even with 0.5% guarantee the yield still not justify though its near calling with much lesser risk now. Yes I am doing USD FD with DBS, am thinking to park 2-3 mths and to wait if interest rates keep going up or not.yep. nibbling astrea 4 also. ytm is high cos left 8 months nia.
1 month usd FD is now 3.19% at dbs.
maciam like a kid in a candy store for net cash folks.
so much candy to buy, too bad so little money.![]()
You can just buy it from the market. Same as stocks. Current price is $0.995.May I know how to buy this bond?
Surprised that the face value hold. Nearly bought some to round off my allocation when it dropped below par but around that time, Tbills and SSB started to get interesting so shelf the idea. Recently notice that the price seems holding strong and no longer below par. Not sure is this the harbinger that world yield will not accelerate or even start to fall soon.
Don't think yield curve plays a big part as the bond is not exactly short term (5 years). 5 years yield is generally still higher than 2, 3 years in contrast to 6 months/1 year yield higher than 2, 3 years yield. Most likely market is anticipating an overall softening of rate environment in near term. With yield curve being inverted, it is perhaps no surprise.
Not sure if I understand your question. Whether its going to mature next year or not you can sell them in the open market with your broker and trading fee applied. Please note if your bond is in CDP then you must have a CDP linked broker.May i ask if how to sell the bond if maturing next year? Is it same as selling on open market n have to pay the trading fee by the broker?
