I applied for it and got allocated, but then I had other thoughts and sold them at original value.
Total loss about $30 (broker fee & initial application charges)

I was too impulsive.

Its okay, just make sure you learn from experience. There may be more attractivce counters with better yield.

Tried to buy on moomoo in lots of 1,000 but was unable to do so.

Moomoo showed this msg: this stock/option trading has been suspended to open position (buy)

Any idea what this means?

Now yield above 5%.
Yesterday just went to Northpoint City. Seems business not too bad.
Time to nibble. 😅

A bit of caution is in order. Higher interest rates mean (ceteris paribus) that businesses face higher costs to raise capital and/or refinance their debts. That means more stress on the businesses' finances, meaning more risk of default. Please be aware of the risks involved in these various bonds, especially the unrated ones.

Probably not worth for Astrea 4 la as it trades at 1.014, even with 0.5% guarantee the yield still not justify though its near calling with much lesser risk now. Yes I am doing USD FD with DBS, am thinking to park 2-3 mths and to wait if interest rates keep going up or not.

Surprised that the face value hold. Nearly bought some to round off my allocation when it dropped below par but around that time, Tbills and SSB started to get interesting so shelf the idea. Recently notice that the price seems holding strong and no longer below par. Not sure is this the harbinger that world yield will not accelerate or even start to fall soon.

With yield curve being inverted, it is perhaps no surprise.

Don't think yield curve plays a big part as the bond is not exactly short term (5 years). 5 years yield is generally still higher than 2, 3 years in contrast to 6 months/1 year yield higher than 2, 3 years yield. Most likely market is anticipating an overall softening of rate environment in near term.

May i ask if how to sell the bond if maturing next year? Is it same as selling on open market n have to pay the trading fee by the broker?

Not sure if I understand your question. Whether its going to mature next year or not you can sell them in the open market with your broker and trading fee applied. Please note if your bond is in CDP then you must have a CDP linked broker.

About 2 and half months to the first coupon! The bond price has been consistently above face value shortly after listed. It should trend down a little bit with more coupon payouts unless interest rate tank big time in the next 1-2 years.
