I understand G-sync compatible does not work with HDMI out.
But if I have a monitor with hdmi input only, but with freesync support, can I use a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter to get G-sync/Freesync working?
Sad.
So even though the cable (adapter) is plugged into the Displayport on the Nvidia card, something is telling the graphics card that it's a HDMI cable instead of a DP cable?
There is one FreeSync monitor we tested that didn’t work with adaptive sync on an Nvidia GPU, but this isn’t a huge surprise. The Viotek NB24C only supports adaptive sync through HDMI, while Nvidia GPUs only support adaptive sync through DisplayPort. AMD GPUs can do adaptive sync through either HDMI or DisplayPort, so this monitor has functional adaptive sync with AMD GPUs but not Nvidia GPUs.
The lack of adaptive sync over HDMI will also disappoint those looking to pair an Nvidia GPU with the range of FreeSync-capable TVs that have been hitting the market in recent years. Most FreeSync TVs only have HDMI ports, so again, Nvidia GPU owners will be left out for now.
So of the seven monitors we tested, six worked flawlessly. The one monitor that didn’t was never going to because it required FreeSync over HDMI, which Nvidia doesn’t support. It’s also good to verify that low framerate compensation and HDR work in conjunction with adaptive sync on Nvidia GPUs, just like they do on AMD GPUs.
Just to check with u guys. Do u disable vsync, and enable gsync only? From what i read, gsync only works up to max refresh rate. If your pc output more frames than max refresh rate, screen tearing might occur with vsync off
Tried it on prism + 315 pro and not working.
Updated driver and set the monitor on freesync on but inside nvidia control panel not showing the gsync option.
Anyone with the same problem?
My at 1st also same but after i reboot both cpu and monitor and the option appear.Under 3d setting made sure you enable gsync monitor.
u use dp cable...?still cant...
i give up this montior cmi lol

Try using RivaTuner to limit your game's FPS to 140 Hz so that it does not go near 144 Hz. That might solve your flickering issue.
Here is a collection of data on Freesync monitors that works or might not work with Nvidia GPUs.
You can also use CRU application to extend the range of Freesync.

Results may vary.
Bro I use the same monitor, You have to switch on freesync in the monitor menu first. Have you done that?
just gotten my Prism+ X240.
remember to go to "Change Resolution" and select your desired "Refresh Rate"
monitor rated @144hz but only able to set to 120hz.
working with the Pendulum demo.
coming from 60hz.. this is really different.
ah. my bad.that sound like a fault with the monitor no?
suppose to run at 144hz. unless u not using displayport cable.
