Fried Hokkien mee thread

I’m starting this thread, because some of the old ones all got edmw verify-walled. Cant see a thing.

background, I ate 3 HKM for the last 24h. All I feel not good enuf. Even my usual Favourite Chuan HKM didn’t do well today.

any suggestions? I like it wet, moist, packed with wok hei. Rich zhup.
My other GO is Swee guan. But I gradually find his hkm overly cooked, a bit too nuah for my liking.

ts shld try the bedok 511 hc hokkien mee, its wet wet with rich zhup and fresh ingredients.

- Tian Seng at Circuit Road.

- Shiok HKM.
- Ah Jie HKM at AMK Central.
- Lor 29 Geylang HKM.

I prefer SG over Chuan.

The other place i like for wet type is Hoe. Eggy and shiok. Not the best but easily my top 5. Very polite too.

I tried the Serangoon Jackson HKM recently.
It is wet one fried by some tiong.
It is a good plate of HKM.
But it is not wicked and I am not really shaken by it.

Used to do some HKM hunting in the past.
Now, I am very lazy cos most of them did not really impress.
They are not bad but not really something that you will return again.

Yes. It is dry and thin bee hoon version.

Another recommended spot is Blue Star Hokkien Mee at Hougang Hainanese Hawker Centre.

Shiok HKM is wayyyy below mediocre level. Tried once at their defunct Woodlands outlet, and never went back again。
