I just read that the uncle passed on.

The past few years, he has handed the frying to his son. But he was there frying at the same spot for around 40 years.

Likely will be the best HKM in Singapore?

Lor 29 swee guan. S8/$10. Ordered $8 and it was so little..only 2 scoops. Really greedy ppl. At $8 is already very expensive and yet give so little. I guess they want to push you to buy $10 plate.

Sorry its quite bad, at least the branch i tried.

First 5 mouth ok, then the ghee taste of the noodles is so strong, and the jelatness of the taste. I tried twice and both times the same. I not try again the 3rd time.

I come to realisation. The taste I wanted is a kind of old times Swee Guan. wokhei plus strong broth and sweetness.

Swee guan today, have some wokiness, but the broth not as rich Liao.

Now for broth. I go to my trusty Yi ji.

I have a phobia for HKM after trying too much HKM.
The few I tried did not really impress me.
It is just a normal plate where some of the reviewers praised like damn good.

Not sure whether I will continue my HKM hunt.

Wahlao. I Jiak wok and toast, shiok at Serangoon central. All buay sai. I think it’s real. My tastebud spoil.
