Sad case.....this week , a friend passed away.
Only 43 , married with 3 kids.
Got to know that deceased was diagnosed with leaking valve in heart. But refused to go for operation as he worried complications of operation. After sending all kids to school, not long after he just collapsed and passed on.

I read up more about valve leaking. This would lead to cardiac arrest.
Very Common Nowadays. Due to the life style in Sin. Eating Habit changed. Even Younster Now can get

Cardiac any time. My Dotor also Warned me Control Diet eat healthy...Bcoz Ur Medisave cant cover

the Hospital Bill.........lol Serious Joke aside.

Maybe I will go check up again.

Like what some have advised, if really need surgery, do it when you are still young while other organs are still healthy, and that recovery will be faster as compared to older aged people.

For my dad's case, specialist told me he couldn't take the impact of a second surgery due to his weak kidneys etc and so the only thing we could do was to wait for the time.

Got insurances?

I wonder if the condition is just discovered lately. Will the insurance bought earlier refuse payment on ground of undisclosed medical condition?

Did you stop work before surgery?
Or MC after surgery.

If find new job,you got declared you got heart operation,if declared likely nt able get job;)
Three weeks MC after procedure. It is a stent procedure, not open heart.

I only found out about my heart issue after signing the LOA. I told my director just before going for the company medical check up. She asked me to speak to my direct supervisor. Supervisor was very kind. She said no issue if MC was just a couple of weeks but she may have to consider if I need months to recover. She said I can WFH too and conduct classes on Zoom.

don’t know backache is it also can be related to heart problems
Yes, it is 1 of the many symptoms of heart attack, which is different from cardiac arrest (also known as suddent cardiac arrest)

Take note of the 2nd point - which the pain can spread to the neck, shoulders, back and upper belly.

What is the difference between Cardiac Arrest and Heart Attack

dun ignore the symptoms that your body gives u..

3 year ago.. i had stomach bloating n very serious acid reflux.. i went see doc, thought just get meds and go. But in the end was asked to do scope n then referred to stomach specialist. Long story short, was diagnosed with stage 0 stomach cancer and have to remove part of my stomach. Doc say heng detected early else can be even worse.

But i think i consider go get checkup late liao. my friend always have stomach bloating, i advised him to see doc. He went for scope and was diagnosed with gastritis (inflammed stomach) and helicoter plyori bacteria. his was the stage before mine.

so please go early for checkup..
Nowadays do you have to be more selective in what to eat?

My son had a nose surgery when he was about 20 yo. Hospitalised 3 days (remember nil food).

He had some sinus issues, always rubbing nose. Then sleeping time breathing through mouth + snoring.

The surgery fixed most of his issues. After he recovered, he exclaimed that he never knew normal breathing is such a good feeling.

He recovered very fast after the surgery coz was young.

*I (or he) could choose not to fix his issues as those were not life threatening but for quality of life, it's worth to get the surgery done despite some risks involved. He still having some sinus issues now though but the snoring etc issues resolved.

Yes, rapid heartbeat even at rest, dizziness, consistent jaw pain that is not due to dental issues, pain radiating from arm can be warning signs of heart issues. I come from a family with cardiovascular disease.

Side note: so finally my youngest sibling went for an angiogram as all the older ones have had heart bypass. This sibling eats fried food EVERY DAY and drinks bubble tea EVERY DAY. Guess what? No blockage and no hardening of arteries. Calcium score zero.

I am really speechless. But of course there is still the possibility of blockage at the neck and brain, which she didn't check.

But I am like...is there a reason a higher being is protecting her?
Wait for medical studies to flip prata again. Maybe we will soon see the key to a healthy heart is to eat fried food and drink bubble tea everyday
