Personally I'm using a LG G2 and almost switched to the OnePlus One. With news that the iPhone 6+ was coming out, it was a no-brainer for me. Its like a welcome party for myself back to the iOS ecosystem that I always wanted to get back to, but I couldn't deal with a smaller screen size since the LG G2's 5.2" screen is perfect for me. With the launch of the 5.5" iPhone screen by Apple now, there can't seem to be a better opportunity to switch. So yep, here I come iP6+! (Hopefully I can secure a set later)

I think it comes down to whether you prefer access to wonderful software; or are a fan of the best specs. Also the design of the phone itself.

I've never jailbroken, cos' the whole point for me is all the awesome apps available on the Apple Store. Lots of innovation and ports of full console games. Really sometimes makes me wonder, what's the point of the better Android specs, if they don't have all these wonderful apps to use them with? Maybe someone else with an Android can chime in for this. The one thing I can say about Android is the open-sourced OS allows for much faster innovation on that front (notifications, third party keyboards, etc etc). But these don't matter so much to me- my iPhone is like a personal entertainment device, and nothing beats the Apple Store selection.

That being said, the new Androids are faster, lighter, better screen, etc etc.

Design-wise though, I still like the iPhone. It feels like a real luxury item- solid. When I saw a friend's Samsung for the first time, it really shocked me with all that plastic... Personal taste, of course. I'm sure there are other phones that are different. (eg. the Sony ones look much nicer)

What? Do you even technology?

I agree Ios definitenly the best for media and gaming experience but anything else android beat ios...

Why? Because almost everything useful in android are implemented in iOS 8... Keyboard , that's something which totally make no sense.... Etc...

Apps, there is definitely more apps then google play.. But I do find most matured apps work better in android then iOS..
And even google now work better then siri

I use an android and iPhone as my daily driver.. And I prefer to get my thing done on android over iPhone every time as it just work better and faster..

I see. Thanks for the input. I guess that explains it- I'm more into media and gaming. But I also understand why established apps work better on Android- it's just a much much bigger market.

I was late to using Smartphones, my first one was the Galaxy S3. I used it for a year and was getting increasingly frustrated with it.

Honestly I rarely make calls on the phone, sometimes texting, but mostly it is a media consumption device + mobile internet. Essentially it became a replacement for my ipod touch which allows me to go online. I could not find a decent app on android for podcast management, downloading and playback, not to mention one that works with a desktop software like Itunes. Managing music playlists on the phone was also an exercise in frustration.

The last straw was that even on the larger screen of the S3, I still had to pinch and zoom to browse the web and read text. On the iphone, websites automatically adjust to fit the small screen and I can read the text easily.

First smartphone I got was an iPhone 4s. Used it for one year then did a re-contract and got a Samsung Note 2. Spent hours trying to tweak the interface to suit one that I like but it was damn buggy. The huge size was also a negative point for me and within the week itself, I decided to trade it for an iPhone 5.

Now getting iPhone 6 on 19 Sep :s12::s12:

No phone can match apple's touchscreen precision so far.

Android often need to run battery optimizer, anti virus, memory cleaner etc. life is too short for these.
