hi all, hope i can get some insights here. just signed up for M1 6gbps plan that came with the free Asus BE92U..

Download seems ok on bufferbloat but upload is super bad. please see screenshot. I went to asus for a 1-1 exchange as i thought it was a router issue but issues still persist..

Only other stuff on the network is 3 tapo cameras on the IoT network

ONT -> Asus BE92U -> wifi connected iPhone 16 Pro

Anything i can do to fix this?

Running the speedtest within the Asus admin panel.. I get speeds of 3800mbps down and 2900mbps up, would this be normal for the M1 6gbps plan? thanks!

You may need to have a real 10G capable wired device to carry out the test to validate your M1 6Gbps plan speed. The CPU of Asus RT-BE92U may not be good enough and may show lower speed.

As for Bufferbloat for Wireless, you may want to check wired device first. It is kind of meaning less to troubleshoot wireless performance issues before fixing wired speed/performance first.

Yet one more thing, does the bufferbloat test cases match with your use cases or not? The upload speed is super low, that means there is probably another problem. How far is the router and your phone?

The ONT modem is connected directly to the BE92U via CAT6 cables, so i thought that the speedtest within the Asus router admin GUI should be able to run directly at 10gbps since the links are all 10gbps.

Good point, will check this weekend with ethernet connected device and see what Bufferbloat says. But i only have laptop with gigabit port so max will be 1gbps but will note the bloat (if any).

Another good point on use case. Actual real world no issue actually.. Haha. Just gaowei about the bufferbloat results.

Will update this thread again maybe we can figure out this mystery!

P.S. I was standing right next to the router ................. iPhone 16 pro wireless connected on 6Ghz...
