the snapshot now on A5 is soooooo much better! dont have to change phone!

It's amazingly faster on nougat also. Not sure why but feel much 2x snappier.

I tried using 2nd sim in my A5 for data. When I use data in 2nd sim, cannot use use 1st sim for receiving phone call. Is this normal or is my phone faulty ?

A7 2018 may be announced soon. The A7 2017 was released in Jan 2017 IIRC. 2 to 3 more months only if can wait and don't mind the higher price.. With the rumored infinity display, better finger print scanner placement etc. Slightly better CPU than current version.

A7 is definitely value for money with the specs, should be able to get used sets around the range of 350 mac.

Only downside is the weak camera without ois but other that quite a beast with good battery life and water resistant.

It's more premium than the Galaxy J7 Pro, and it could enjoy more software updates than the J7 Pro as the Galaxy A series has a higher priority than the Galaxy J series.

Samsung phone hierarchy are as follow(highest to lowest)..
Flagship: Galaxy S | Galaxy Note
Premium mid-range: Galaxy A
Affordable low-range to mid-range: Galaxy J

Should be Jan or Feb 2018 released in SG. Based on the A7 2017 history.


Maybe can get a cheaper Xiaomi first then get the A7 2018 when released.


Compared the A7 2017 to the rumoured 2018 version, I will get the 2018 version if all rumours are true. The infinity display really makes a difference. Overall size may be smaller than current A7.


Current A7 2017 I feel the top and bottom bezzel too big.


You take some time to think about it before deciding bah.

VoLTE Icon Appeared on Status Bar of A7 2017

Don't know how it happened, when it appeared, but don't remember activating anything.

I noticed a VoLTE icon has appeared on my A7 2017's status bar.

How do I disable this feature?

Volte icon will only disappear if you call your telco to disable it. Turning it off via settings only turns off at your handset level while network level is still provisioned..

Don't know how it happened, when it appeared, but don't remember activating anything.

Was this activated by default for everyone, coz the icon only appeared recently?

It is activated by default for all users unless you speicifically wanted them to flip the switch.

Perhaps you didn’t realise its there? It will only be there if your device is hooked onto 4G with volte signal..

Ah, I recently moved this SIM card from another phone to the A7. I guess the feature is supported in the A7, that's why I only see it now.
