I'm planning to recontract my phone plan(Currently owning a Note 3), looking into the Note 4 for quite a while. Should I still consider it or look at the other newer models? Or wait for some new Samsung model to come out in the future?

Yes, if you value removable battery and/or expandable storage. I just upgraded from a Note 3 and is very happy with my Note 4 which I plan to use for 2 years

Note 4 is still in all aspects a fantastic phone - good all round performance coupled with expandable memory and changeable batteries.

You can consider the S6 too.. their prices are not that far off - though it has a built in battery coupled with no external memory

Sent from Samsung SM-G920I using GAGT

Note 4 screen easy to crack.
I cracked mine 2 times. Sent in to service for 4 times within 1 year during warranty.

If it works well, it's a nice phone.
Now I'm happy with my note 4 in an otterbox case.

Yes you just need a good case. I used a UAG and it was in pristine condition until I sold it šŸ˜€

It took some excellent pictures of my Bangkok trip.

The first thing I got was an otter box. Slap it on and ignore. The Note 4 is also prone to aluminium scuffs on its polished bezel - something that would heart ache people who baby their phones

I switched from Note 3 to Note 4 abt 2-3wk ago

was deciding between Note 4 and 5, decided on 4 mainly cuz of removable batt (i do heavy mobile gaming)...

since both have fast charging, so its fine

price diff....only $130 for me (corporate plan, Note 4 $310, Note 5 $130 more), not exactly a deciding factor

spec-wise, i dun really need a top top notch processing speed or wat...i think they are both gd phones

Note 3 is SUPERB serving me 2yr+, except for the batt, thats y i'm sticking to the Note series (even though i'm fully aware of being a carrot head and chopped by the Samsung brand name, which is overpriced)

Sorry was late to the thread. Owned a Note 4 since launch and it is still very good today. My only concern is a not a perfect accuracy on the GPS.

But other than that the ROM community is strong, so even though Sammy may give one final upgrade to Marshmallow coming soon, you bet there is still development for future versions of Android.

I am using Dr Ketan Note 5 ROM since long ago with all the Note 5 software features since its launch. I simply slap on a ORIGINAL Samsung Wireless Cover and the phone has wireless charging, removable battery, microSD AND Note 5 features.

So far so good!

if removable batt & SD card is a MUST....Note 4
Else, I would stick to Note 5 (at least os about 4months old)
All Note series are my daily (since Note 1)

If you're technically inclined, you can try this on your Note 4: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/snapdragon-dev/n910g-dr-ketan-custom-rom-t2928568

Read all the instructions carefully and the relevant pages of the Thread to get a clear understanding. It's not very difficult and you are rewarded with a sense of achievement and a "new" phone.

Alternatively you can wait for the Marshmallow update which is sure to bring some of the Note 5 software features to our Note 4. Of course then, rest assured the ROM-ing community will catch on.

Other then the curved screen which I dun like, causing some halo effect when using tempered glass, there is no issue for me using note 4 since it launch on the 1st day till now...:)

Note 4 is good. Changeable battery is an ultra plus. After close two years, you just have to change battery. Imagine you buy an S6 and already 2 years. Battery dying and sure nobody wants to buy. Now snapdragon is still 800 series. Not much has changed. No itch to upgrade.

I would say go for it as its still good as of todays technology. Andriod 6 will start to OTA for this model by next month.

Is it worth to upgrade from Note 3 to 4? Removable battery is very important to me as compared to SD card.

It is quite unlikely that Note 6 to have removable battery right? Though I really like the dual pixel camera.

Sauce? I hope this is real, ever since an article was published since dec last yr abt note 4 getting marshmallow 6, I have been checking for update on my note4 al ot everyday or fortnightly...
I've been using it with a thick case with card slot at the back, drop does no damage at all.
