I was contemplating this case for a while. Evilbay only has 1 seller selling this i think and it's almost 30$.

Amazon's unit price is cheaper, but doesn't offer direct shipping to Singapore.

why ppl like to use the super huge battery and the battery cover ah. device alrdy big enough leh. like that even harder to hold and use :s13:

Samsung Galaxy Note Overheating, how hot is too hot?

Samsung Galaxy Note Overheating, how hot is too hot?

I can’t express how much I like the Galaxy Note, it is the best smartphone I have ever had and millions of people agree with me. I have run it through many benchmarks and results are outstanding, it is one of the most powerful smartphones in the market while it still delivers reasonable battery life.
High performance comes with overheating issues. My Samsung Galaxy Note overheats, not the Apple style, when phone just turns off without warning whet it overheats but the Galaxy Note runs noticeably hot. This issue occurs only on heavy usage for longer than half an hour.

The Galaxy Note does not overheat while browsing web, making phone calls, texting and in other daily tasks but it becomes noticeably hot when it is under heavy graphic load, like playing games and watching videos.

The Galaxy Note overheating is noticeable around the camera area where its Exynos dual-core processor is hidden. It’s not like the Galaxy Note starts to melt from it but you can feel heat. I did some further research about its Exynos processor and found that it is based on the OMAP4 Cortex A9 platform. This platform and its modifications are widely used on today’s smartphones.

The OMAP4 Cortex A9 platform specification shows that its operating temperature is 40° to 85° C (104° to 185° F). Then why the Galaxy Note overheats but other phones do not? It is very thin so you are holding your hands very close to processor and you feel heat.

There is nothing you can do about the Galaxy Note overheating and you have to live with it. If you don’t use it for gaming or videos you won’t notice heat. If your Galaxy Note gets warm while you are using it only few minutes without pushing it to limits then it could be some other issue with your device.

Maybe it has foully hardware or there is too many apps running in background that can cause overheating. Some people reports that the Galaxy Note becomes slow without any reason but wrote tutorial how to solve this issue.

Conclusion

As long as you can’t fry eggs on the Galaxy Note, it doesn’t melt, and you can still hold it in your hands its absolutely normal. So it’s not a big deal and there is no fix for it unless you want to stop playing games and watching videos.

Does your Galaxy Note overheats or feels warm while you are playing graphic demanding games and how you deal with this issue?

Since we are on the overheat topic, wondering...

Those with cool pop on the battery, do you have a case covering your Note as well?

Not trying to be funny but was thinking: cool pop in hope to bring down temp but case entrap heat...

Personally i am still looking out for a nice flip case with card slot but concern over the "fever" whenever i use Chrome Beta, play games... and that triggers my interest in cool pop... but the above thought of mine tells me i'm spending more and gaining no benefit.... :(
