Just got my n2 from Singtel last nite, turns out accessories free gift is a piece of paper which can only claim for goodies in mid November onwards. !!!!!!!!!!!! So first virgin month of note2 is naked??
Anyway question for those who have this goodie paper: the flip cover they will give, is that the standard Samsung one that replaces the back cover? And what is a protective back cover that they giving?

Anyone just buying covers now instead of waiting Til mid nov to get freebie?

It say anti finger print plus hard surface. It's anti glare.

You might want to refer to this :)
comparison_chart_5_1.jpg

Anti Glare = Matte surface? So the optics has a matte surface right? I've got a quesiton to those who have used the optics SP though, how much does it degrade the screen? My personal experience with matte screen protectors are pretty horrid. They look so horrible that the screen really looks totally crap, because they blur out the screen to a point that regardless of the high resolution you have on the screen, what you perceive is probably half of it thanks to the blurring effect caused by the matte screen protector.

I am using optics on s3, clarity plus anti glare. It's Not matte though so doesn't affect the clarity at all!

Thanks! That sounds really good, looking at the comparison chart Optics seems much more better than Oleophobic, which makes me wonder if they are matte because it is "Anti glare", as most matte SP advertise themselves as Anti Glare rather than matte. And these SP all look like ****,

Is SP necessary?
Will this gorilla glass 2 be good enough so screen protector useless, unless u referring to protection from glare and other ppl's dirty eyes.

Just wondering cos my free case only avail 1 mth later, duno if should invest in a screen protector in the meantime. My previous crappy LG Optimus something...I anyhow handle and after all this only got one barely visible line where glass a bit kok up so becomes a prism with rainbow colors. Dn even think it would have been any gorilla glass on that phone.

Well, the problem is hardened particles like sand. Those things can scratch your phone screen easily.

If you're a careful person then maybe its not necessary for screen protector, but gorilla glass does not mean its not prone to scratches.

A sp which cost 10+ can increase your phone value more than that by preventing scratches, unless your main concern is the clarity of the screen then it's better to use it raw with a pouch :o
