GPGT. got this at Mac friends today afternoon. Definitely not $29 as what some fellow forumers mentioned here. Even the shop keeper also know about this issue. It's definitely more exp. Hint: blue note with change enough for 1 upsized mac meal

Quick review:
Bought the Shinning Grass version.

Overall feeling: Very impressed with the extreme light weight of this casing and providing good protection.

Grip: Very comfortable grip. a little friction at the sides and smooth on the back. From second picture, although it looks grainy, it is actually quite smooth on touch. It is not fingerprint magnet type of material, although the side plastic frame is.

Protection: A little leverage at both front and back, prevents the screen/camera from touching the surface of the table. Can say it will be able to provide minimal protection without adding on to the size/weight.

Cons: Volume (+/-) and Power buttons on the casing were very tight fitting - to the extend of a light touch to the sides would actually activate the buttons, or even 'holding' onto the buttons. Have to actually slice of a few mm of internal rubber underneath the case button to resolve this. Pretty much usable now after removing the excess. (you will know what I mean if you have bought the case and look behind the case buttons)

Would give 5/5 if not for the cons that I've mentioned. 4/5 Thumbs up.

Mac Friend price is also not bad but if MO can get better price then its a better alternative, just have to wait.

SLS 4th floor selling jelly type (yellow, blue, green) for only $5 each. Bought a yellow one today.
It's definitely the CHEAPEST I can find anyway.
Similar to Mercury ones but no brand. Fits my S3 nicely too.

anyone having problems with the material used in some cases ?

I bought the nilskin but had to change because the smooth material at the back is causing some skin irritation on my fingertips.

then i switched to mercury case. some kind of semi-soft case with smooth texture. it seems to be oleo-philic (oil loving) everytime i touch it with the slightest bit of grease, it makes the case feel oily. other cases wont have this feel.


i am thinking of changing to sgp modello,hoping wont have the same issues.

can anyone advise me?

I used mercury for a while. I decided to change due to the same issue even though the case fully covered the S3. I am not sure of SGP modello. But looking at the pix show not much diff from ROCK.

metal bumper will get bump and scratch ... white transparent will get wear and tear & turn color too .. all new things will get wear and tear ..

Hah does it mean that the blue cover will change colour, but its not as obvious as the white one right
