Seems like most of the time, it's either they give away the games that nobody wants to play or games that majority PS4 owners already bought previously due to huge discounts. Luckily for me I own none of them for Dec free games but I own the physical copy of Ratchet and sold it after completed. Haha..

1) Your safer bet is to get the USA PSN plus if you want online play and good discounts (For PS plus users, there are 10 - 20 % additional discount on top of ongoing promos).

The monthly free games are nothing to shout about though. You have missed the amazon US $39.90 annual card promo. Look out for it during actual xmas or boxing day if it comes back again.

2)If you just want online play - Get the cheaper asian psn plus. The free games for Dec 2017 has already been posted earlier. They are quite good.

Note: You cannot play the "free psn games" once the subscription stops. However, the collection is playable once you renewed it.
