SG PSN Store

Not sure if this is start of CNY sale, but one game spotted:

Horizon Zero Dawn
regular: S$46.90, sale: S$32.83 (30%), PS+: S$28.14 (40%)

Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds (DLC)
regular: S$26.90, sale: S$18.83 (30%), PS+: S$16.14 (40%)

If you buy both, the price diff between PS+ and non-PS+ is S$7.38. If you are not Asia PS+ member, might as well just buy a 1 month PS+ subscription at S$6.90, still got saving :).

It seems that the complete edition is cheaper with the ps+ discount.

Oh, when I checked this morning, complete edition no discount yet. They must be setting it up half way.

Horizon Zero Dawn™: Complete Edition
regular: S$60.90, sale: S$42.63, PS+: S$32.54

Hmm isn’t the price $38.63 in total after discount for ps+ since it’s 10% discount?

Hmm... S$36.54 now.
Oops, it's S$36.54, not S$32.54 (sorry, typo).

Hmm isn’t the price $38.63 in total after discount for ps+ since it’s 10% discount?
The additional 10% is on the regular price.
So regular price = S$60.90,
sale price is 30% off = S$60.90 x 0.7 = S$42.63,
PS+ price is additional 10% off = 30%+10% = 40% off = S$60.90 x 0.6 = S$36.54

The additional 10% is not applied on the sale price, so it's not sale price = S$42.63, PS+ price additional 10% off = S$42.63 x 0.9 = S$38.36

Actually it's easier to just look up psprices.com :)

Where to sign up for newsletter?

Go to: https://account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/
Log in with your US psn account
Click "Account" tab
Click "Notification Preferences" on the left
Check the boxes, "update preferences"

The thing is, even if you subscribe, most people are not getting the newsletters. You may get other newsletters, but not those "[your account], see what's new this week" (which sometimes include such discount codes). Not just people here, but people all over the internet are complaining.

I used to get the newsletter but stopped like a year or two ago, then suddenly it started again a few weeks ago, but only a couple of my accounts are getting it (one US, one Canada). It seems only those accounts of mine that are buying stuffs from psn store (paid items, not freebies) are getting the newsletter (doesn't have to be big spenders though). Not sure if that's the criteria.

Don't wait. 12+3 is virtually the best deal (out of those promos they run regularly). The alternative is wait for 12 mths at 20% or 30% off (can't remember which), but even if those give you a lower price per month, you are getting the lower price for only 12 months instead of 15 months. Even if 12 mths at 30% off ($2.5 per month), compared to 12+3 ($2.9 per month), we are talking merely 40 cents a month difference. No point waiting for CNY (may or may not have CNY promo on ps+, especially when they just run one). The only better deal is when they have 12 mths with free or discounted game and it happens you really want that game.
