actually your mobo combo just get a h81 will be sufficient le... no need go until h97 ma. and also PSU 850w for 1 gpu is overkill :s13::s13::s13:.

H81 and H97, what's the difference?

the 850 W was the only bundle I found with R9 280x on Tradepac pricelist D:

pub bill gao gao

On the contrary, PSU only draw power as much as the system needs. Nothing to do with PUB Bill directly unless you adding more hardware.

Getting a 850w psu dun mean it will constantly draw out 850w even for watching movies.... if it needs 300w, den it will draw 300ws nia... More like wasting money rather than pub bills gao gao.

h81 is slightly older chipset as compared to h97 which is newer. apart from the new and old chipset, features difference will be h97 geared towards those that want to do raids and iirc, h97 have a few more sata ports and usb 3 compared to h81. But judging from your needs in your first post, H81 is more than enough. As for PSU, just get superflower 600W ba, no need go by bundle de.

Not sure where you see $317, but if i follow Tradepac's pricelist, it is selling at $311.

However, if u can top up to $336, you can get MSI B85M G43 + i5-4460. 2 more ram slots, more usb 2.0 and 3.0 headers (both rear and front), more fan headers, PCIe slots instead of PCI.

B85 caters to all of your needs. Gives you a better value in a sense. Unless you are on a very very very tight budget.

This woould be a more worth it upgrade.

$317 from tradepac pricelist on their website.

Never try before MSI..
Tried Asrock, will never go back

MSI really ok ar? Cause this desktop is for my friend.. anything I need to troubleshoot for him.

I look @ pricelist this MSI B85M G43 + i5-4460 bundle cost 374$ not 336

Palit GTX 770 2GB OC @ 479 VS Powercolor 290 4GB PCS+ which one more worth it?
I have read that 280x has coil whining noise etc.

MSI ok ba... corbell service looks good from review, and 290 is about 1 tier above 770. If both are the same price go for 290 ba, unless you are fan boy of one of the brand

But the R9 290 have been OOS since a few months ago, might as well get the R9 280X.

Gave them a call, indeed it is out of stock!!! Changed back to 280x
Decided to go with H81 because my friend don't need the extra USB 2/3 + 6gbps Sata

Thanks everyone!
After much thoughts, have decided to go with Sharkoon MA-W1000!

Even a 690 cant futureproof for 4 yrs... Nothing can futureproof even 680 is outmoded now

Its cheap. $600+ only. Use another 2 years spoil just throw. Its like buying BMW, buy 1 year old car. Let people tank first year.

Even my 680 SLI use 2 years still working fine. Want change GPU but cannot justify the price.

Hi guys! I have bought the desktop and assembled it, sorry.. no pics to show.

Would like to ask about warranty. Is warranty registration not required? I am unable to find any cards to fill that up. I bought everything from tradepac.

There is no need to fill warranty card. Even have also no need. Just keep the receipt as distro based on receipt for warranty.
