2) WP's Yee Jenn Jong continued house visits in Marine Parade GRC in the morning. He also went back to his Joo Chiat area to try his hand at archery. Will he hit the bullseye this time?

WP also conducted house visits at Sengkang West SMC today. Some netizens said on fb that Koh Choong Yong from WP visited their house in Sengkang.

1) WP walkabout in Nee Soon GRC. WP received a warm welcome from residents there. While this is a GRC helmed by a popular minister, WP has some chance since Nee Soon Central has fallen to the opposition before and Nee Soon South gave the opposition good results in 1991.

1) SPP's Jeanette Chong-Aruldoss conducted a walkabout at Block 58, Dakota Crescent in Mountbatten SMC.

2) WP's Yee Jenn Jong conducted several house visits in Marine Parade GRC:

We were resting at this coffeeshop after an exhausting evening of house visits and were chatting with the patrons. About 15 minutes later, this elderly lady, well into her 80s came down from her flat which is above the shop. Her son was one of those whom we were chatting with and he had told his mother that we were here. She came down specially, aided by her walking stick, to meet us and to have this photo opportunity.

1) WP's Yee Jenn Jong and team conducted house visits in Marine Parade GRC. One of the blocks visited was block 18.

A blessed day. Did another evening of house visits, right after probably the final parliament sitting for this 12th parliament.

One elderly lady came searching for us with several bottles of vitamin drinks. We had visited the family earlier and she decided later to give us some drinks. Was so touched that she took the lift to every floor until she found us. In another house, someone gave us several delicious Lindt chocolates. Later as we concluded our visits, the same couple that gave us the chocolates came searching for us with a bag of bottled mineral water.

UPDATE: SPP's Jeanette Chong-Aruldoss says she is finding it hard to gain entry to the condominiums in Mountbatten SMC. However, the PAP MP is allowed to come in and go out as he pleases.

Unlike Mr Lim Biow Chuan, the incumbent MP, I haven’t been able to hold dialogue sessions in private estates. For instance, Mr Lim recently held a dialogue with residents at a condo in Tanjong Rhu on 17 August. He also visited another condo in Tanjong Rhu for a chit chat session on 29 July 2015, as well as various condominiums for National Day decorating and Funpack distribution.

I’ve been doing my best to get permission from your MCSTs to speak to you for sometime now and have sent out 23 letters to MCSTs around the constituency to request access to speak to you and understand your concerns and hopes for Mountbatten.

Unfortunately, of the 23 letters I sent out, 4 condominiums have rejected my requests outright. Another 18 have yet to reply.
