This redrawn of map makes the incumbent really balless one. always making things to suits their narrative instead of fighting hard like how LKY did back in the days.
They're all dirty scoundrels hiding behind sheep white clothing.
"whiter-than-white" lies.

WP wont contest places they never walked before. They only contest places they are sincere and has done a lot of ground work. Not some jiapalang opp.

In any cases I do feel Singaporeans are happier these days with LW than LHL days. LW more down to earth and less condescending in parliament
happier is it because of cdc voucher ah?? :o

You can't really blame anyone—Lee Kuan Yew set the bar too high. LKY was essentially synonymous with the PAP. While many of his policies might not be as effective in today’s era, there’s no denying his iron-fisted leadership and sheer determination in transforming Singapore into a global powerhouse. Unfortunately, he passed the baton to someone who lacked the same passion and drive to serve the nation as he did.

If Tharman were still there, ya PSP stands no chance.

Thank heaven Tharman has left to become our President. Which is a good thing not just because he would have helped PAP to secure votes, but also, even if PAP loses its majority, Tharman will be there to advise new govt (as part of his presidential role).
This one had significant involvement towards the push for see-kar agreement back then.

Yes a lot of new citizen from Hong Kong, Malaysia, India, Vietnam, China, Philippines, Indonesia

Likely will vote pappie
But they forgot a lot of army guys. Either freshly released from army… or can’t find jobs. First Punggol flats built in 2002. New ones that move in also quite pissed off cos they waited 2 more years to get their Punggol flats.

Ya ya EBRC is right, changes to electoral boundaries are 'due to population shift', it's 'mere coincidence' that they affect mainly GRCs which PAP had barely won during last GE!!! :s13:

What can we do? LLST and accept it lo..
sinkies can only do their part and vote wisely la :o

If I am incumbent party, I will secretly finance a few opposition parties to contest in multi corner fights to dilute the opposition votes... :devilish:

The very fact that they haven't, means then, that they don't want to. Because this gerrymandering requires a massive amount of resources, which could have been better spent on real issues.

Their 1b pa budget already give them all the community data all they need is just a few dirt cheap phds to crunch the numbers.

Remember drugs that makes the most money dun get the medical problem solved.

Based on the recent electoral boundary changes for the 2025 General Election in Singapore, here are some possible gerrymandering techniques that might have been applied:

  1. Cracking:
    • Jurong GRC: The splitting of Jurong GRC into Jurong East-Bukit Batok GRC and Jurong Central SMC could be seen as an attempt to dilute the opposition's influence by spreading their voters across multiple constituencies.
    • Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC: The creation of Pasir Ris-Changi GRC and Punggol GRC from parts of Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC might be an effort to dilute the opposition's voting strength by redistributing voters.
  2. Packing:
    • Aljunied GRC: The redrawing of boundaries to move some polling districts from Aljunied GRC to Tampines GRC could be seen as an attempt to concentrate opposition voters into fewer districts, thereby reducing their influence in other areas.
  3. Hijacking:
    • Punggol West SMC: The absorption of Punggol West SMC into the new Punggol GRC might force incumbents to compete against each other, potentially weakening their chances of re-election.
  4. Kidnapping:
    • Bukit Batok SMC: The removal of Bukit Batok SMC and its absorption into Jurong East-Bukit Batok GRC could be seen as an effort to move an incumbent's home address into a different district, making it harder for them to win re-election.
These techniques can significantly impact election outcomes and voter representation. If you have any specific concerns or need more details about these changes, feel free to ask!
