Regarding this call blocking thingy, I'm with Andre.

I have to be objective. If someone calls me every day to my private number, I will feel stressed and harassed also.

Honestly speaking, I believe alot of us will react in the same manner as he did back then. Opposition parties so little resources, practically everything is rely on volunteers who sacrifice their own time and money one.
In comparison to PAP with virtually unlimited resources, grassroots so many people to help out.

Even those gala dinners/NDPs, etc. kind of events, the grassroots/RA/PA will just set up everything swee swee then the PAP MPs just show up as guest of honors give a speech and stay awhile then zao liao. Somemore transportation is taken care of, they get ferried to the venue themselves.

If I was a resident and had someone like Andre Low as a volunteer helping pro-bono, then personally I would at least try to sympathize with him and refrained on disturbing him as much as possible during his free/work time unless is really no choice.

This is not like customer service personnels, they are being PAID and it is their job to serve customers as part of their JD.

It is like Janil Puthucheary using the saving babies as an excuse for Not serving NS, in the first place he is a doctor. It is his job scope and he is paid to do it.
Thus, he has an obligation to do his JOB well.

Take the Parti Liyani case where Liew Mun Leong's son was involved for example, if you are the maid being framed by the son and you had Anil Balchandani using his own time/money/effort to help you pro bono as a lawyer.

Wouldn't you also try your best to be more understanding if he cannot reply to you immediately or sometimes is caught in a timeline where he cannot afford to take time out to help you as perhaps he is tied up with his own/his family's matters?

Opposition parties' volunteers are NOT paid one for your information, they practically help out due to their own conviction sacrificing their own time/money/effort one.

You don't get BTO Priority Ballot queue or primary school ballot, etc. for your own children like PAP grassroots does one.

Anybody wants to bet if Jo Teo/CCS/TSL/OYK/LW/LHL/VB/Shanmugam, etc. got scold Singaporeans privately?

No wonder they got Communicaton personnels to paint PAP MPs with good optics lol.
Anybody remember the clip last week on nomination day, when a communications person in Kong Hwa School that cannot paint Seah Kian Peng as an arrogant person.

Then what will be his true motivation to now run for GE .... especially given that, from the 'leaked messages', he explicitly stated that: -

"If you're someone who wants to join the civil service out of a sense of wanting to contribute to society and public service. Don't bother."

From his LinkedIn, he does not appear to stay long in any job ... since Jan 2016 till now .. presently 3-months into his 7th employer ... past 6 employment stints range from 6-months to 2yr-2mths. Common to jump about these days?

https://www.linkedin.com/in/andrelow/details/experience/

If it's me, a $16K pm allowance, for the next 50-60 months ... is certainly a nice carrot - even if I truly wish to serve the residents/voters.
Has Andre addressed this?

Sad to say this andre remind me of the other candidate rk. Like her he is a compromised candidate. I pretty sure what he say is only the tip of the iceberg. The next following days sure got more leak out de.

Just imagine he say it was a telegram group of old business classmates and was said during the covid 19. Meaning he anyhow rant about almost anything to not his close friends and those people in the group don't like him enough to scroll through past chat history to screenshot his comments.

Imho, he is not very smart to know what to say to what type of people. He could just be a complaint king , everything also complain or he could be those customers officer who infront of you smile at you then once you turn around begin to talk bad about you. Either way this kind of personality is not very enduring. Maybe that's why his ex classmates sabo him now.

A loose cannon like him could potentially be rk the 2nd.

Ps i not pap supporter, this is how i feel only. I may be wrong.

If I am sitting in the fence previously, I may now vote for him as he has the fire in him and willing to speak up on things that he feels is not right as compared to someone who knows that things are not right but chose to keep silent about it.

I would think the leaks will be a good boost as well. There’s different sides to a coin.

Agree but he was not in start ups leh they are huge firms btw

he lawyer -> train under Davinder did his pupilage there so must be above a year

move inhouse 1 year two roles in same company

Move to do products when he’s lawyer 6 mths

move to do tech again different area 1.5 years

After that move to do consultancy 2 years then now move again at 3 mths

No one moves from lawyer to products to tech to consultancy to fintech. All in a short time. Cause if you cut it in one field like law you won’t move away from it

couple with the way he treats people when people approach him. Probably not a great cv or candidate. Now extrapolate what it means when he is elected and what he will do for you?

So he decided not to pursue a law career and try out other things. Thing is he can find and land a job. Another way to see it is...why does it seem so "easy" for him to job hop while others struggle?

Not a great CV or candidate? Then how he land jobs at huge firms as you described?
