As a first world country where 50% dont pay tax mean 50% earn less than $20k per annum... yet ministars can claim to be worldclass. Shocking.

If it's only 50% of sinkies pay tax means the other 50% comprises of students. retirees, low income earners, part timers and those who don't need to work. So not wrong lah.

That democracy ma.... LL. Even the 50% who pay easily most of the top 10 to 20% will vote for pap becos of low tax to them.

Even the middleclass is spit in 60 to 40% in favour to opposition it doesnt help becos bottom 40% and top 10 to 20%. Easily have a strong core of 50% guranteed.

Or else there will be a split.

This election is big blow to TCB.

The continuity of the party will now be in focus.

Not only they have lost everything including the 2 NCMP seats, they have also lost the popular votes by big margins. This is a double to TCB and the party members.

Without the 2 NCMP seats, they have technically lost the exposure to the general public view. They no longer have representatives in parliament to promote their branding. This will lead to erosion of branding image. They will have a very hard time in the next GE should the party still exists.

Yes, this may be true. Many Singaporeans are grab drivers, delivery men, cleaners, security guards, etc. They do not pay personal income taxes.
