It is the same strategy they used in GE2020, when ex-DPM Heng went to East Coast at the last minute.

Do you know what DPM Gan's name was handwritten on the nomination forms when the rest of his teammates' particulars were printed on? That goes to show how abrupt the change was. I'm even willing to bet that he wasn't notified of the change until that morning itself.
I think for Ah heng it was the same case? The hand written part?

He could have an easier life, chilling with his batchie Vivian, Grace Fu etc talk about old times, now everyday wake up early morning go Punggol, at night monitor US market

Wonder who pitch this idea to PAP inner circle and got it approved
his good friend LW.

LW is still the best debater in PAP currently. But now he no need to do 单挑 himself anymore.
hahahaha I don't think so leh, in fact his speeches are so boring, full of motherhood statements but no details and no substance

I think so but I am not 100% sure about this.

For DPM Gan, it was reported on the news when the reporter mentioned that DPM Gan's form was handwritten. That little bit of tidbit is very illuminating in terms of the PAP's strategy for Punggol.

Same argument could be used for WP. None of their candidates walked in Punggol before 26th April.
But ST reported otherwise.. Can't be that ST was spreading fake news?

SINGAPORE – The Workers’ Party (WP) has been walking the ground in at least eight constituencies, including Tampines and Pasir Ris-Punggol GRCs, putting it on track to contest one-third of the seats in Parliament in the coming general election.

Every Minister is dispensable. All the work is done by civil servants who will just give the Minister a buffet of options to choose from for a policy, for example. Just pretend to have a few meetings to select the best option and then just bs to the public it is the PAP's idea.

But if WP's playbook is forever 'vote us into Parliament to question the incumbent!' ... only to subsequently explain 'we're lacking in nos. - naturally we cannot push through our agendas', ... my question will be: -

WHY THEM?

Why they get to collect the close to $200K pa. WP allowances, and $400K pa for LOTO?

Why not any of the EDMWers here?

Surely we/they can also 'probe, ask, query, raise, moot, etc', no?

I doubt many will hiam such $$ incentives.

I know I won't.

:s13:
Two things

How u know they are not edmwers?

You are free, or any edmwer, is free to announce candidacy next time round. I sure support.

Late to this thread to comment - but consider this:

Slumggol may bo hiew him now, but if his group get elected, he's gonna bo hiew slumggol residents for the next 5 years back!

Slumggolians better repent!
