If LW really thinks that GKY is so important as the taskforce man to deal with tariffs, i think questions need to be asked... why last minute switch him from CCK to Punggol? (this is like from the West to East..) If really need someone to anchor the North East/East Region, why not ask minister like OYK or CCS or TSL or Vivian Balakrishnan or even LHL just go there to anchor himself? No one within the party dare to step up and take the challenge to say "I have confident in Punggol voters" ? or is it LW himself can only trust his best friend GKY? Just something is not right...

Since LW thinks that GKY is so important to the taskforce committee. By doing this, does he really care about Singaporean by sending someone so "indispensable" to a risky GRC, instead of leaving him under the safer CCK?

Anyone can tell that WP is going to Punggol and there will be a good fight in this GRC even many days before the nomination day.

Gan is really pathetic for a DPM. He was sent to defend Punggol GRC for the PAP but instead of locking it down, he couldn't campaign well and ended up needing the PM and other senior PAP leaders to come and appeal to voters on his behalf. On top of it, the rather mild criticism from the WP about his age and reason for coming to Punggol GRC was construed by the PAP as 'personal attacks' on this supposedly great man. Is he so weak that any criticism of Gan, no matter how valid, is considered hurtful and off-limits?

If this so-called Task Force Man can't even do the task of securing Punggol GRC by himself, then what's so great about having the 'Task Force Man' ?

But she mentioned something about the palestine support earlier in a rally??.

She did not directly advocate for Palestine. What she said is that it was wrong for schools to include the Israel-Palestine conflict in their CME curriculum without the consent of parents, given the sensitive nature of the topic and the strong emotions people have about this issue.

After that point, she didn't mention the Israel-Palestine issue again and has not brought it up in subsequent rallies.

I was surprised that of all ministers, they sent Gan to Punggol. How can they think an old man is a good fit for a GRC with so many young families and young people? Ong Ye Kung would have been a better choice.

It's like thinking sleepy Joe Biden is a vote puller.

I don’t think it will work this time. HSK East Coast plan end up becoming nothing? Punggol residents will be smart enough to realise PAP sent a lame duck over this time. Voting for PAP means you get only 1 good MP in SXL. If vote workers party, you get better MPs overall.

In GE2020, we didn't see so many ministers coming to HSK's rescue in East Coast, even though he was up against a strong WP team.

I have been to Punggol often myself and have seen some HDB near the seaside with mouldy green exteriors. So I don’t think PAP is that great at estate management.
