When it comes to Chinese mentality, maybe older gen, as long as there is a label with the word "kia" inside, it's meant to be demeaning. Like "they are all little kids and we are the grown adults."
Otherwise we would be calling ourselves "tng kia", not "tng lang". And it won't be CBK, it will be CBL.

As for KLK, I didn't know KL means a location. My tiagong was that the KL sounds like clinking chains, meaning prison chains, perhaps because of the sepoy mutiny or the prison labourers brought over from British India. Honestly, that's what I heard, I did not make this up.

its just a way to call the different race. i grew up hearing my older uncle n auntie relatives calling indians kelingkias / malays kiaotor . they are in their 80s-90s now n basically speak dialect their entire life..

to them its not malicious, its just how is called during their era. somehow its becoming degratory now but some older ppl might not realised it.
