My handyman came to fix something at my place recently.
He was sharing with me about his son got bullied in army and showing signs of depression. So, he went to complain to the in-charge to investigate the issues.
My "instinctive" response to him sadly was, "You not scared your son will get blackmarked?".
Well, that's "instinct" perhaps for boomers like me.
*when my nephew got a lousy math teacher in class, he told me about this (seemed lazy, couldn't teach, couldn't control the class, etc, etc) and he learnt nothing from his lessons. He shared that his kakis feeling the same. Then he asked me don't complain in case he get "blackmarked" (he was 15 years old then). At the end, I had to write anonymous email to the principal to feedback for investigation.
