竞逐淡滨尼集选区的工人党团队说，他们的出现，让淡滨尼选民受到重视，因为人民行动党这两天陆续派出重量级人物前去助选造势。

领军工人党淡滨尼团队的阿裕尼集选区原议员费沙，星期三（4月30日）走访淡滨尼后接受媒体访问。他答复《联合早报》的提问时说，工人党的出现，为行动党团队带来了一些竞争。

他还引用工人党前秘书长刘程强，在2011年大选群众大会上的“副驾驶”说。刘程强当时说，新加坡需要一位副驾驶，当司机车开不好时，可用力拍醒他，让他及时回到正轨，这也是反对党扮演的角色。

费沙也是工人党副主席。他说：“我们想给守土团队一些竞争压力，这样他们才能做得更好、表现得更好。”

国务资政李显龙星期二（29日）走访淡滨尼，为社会及家庭发展部长兼卫生部第二部长马善高领导的行动党淡滨尼团队助选。身兼行动党秘书长的黄循财总理，则在星期三（30日）傍晚现身淡滨尼，与行动党团队合体亮相。

另一名工人党淡滨尼集选区候选人王锐斌博士也说：“我们相信民主制度要有适合的挑战、不同的声音，当我们来的时候，我相信淡滨尼的居民也会觉得，‘我们终于被重视了，因为工人党来了’。”

他补充说：“这是我们对淡滨尼的贡献，给他们一个真正的选择。”

淡滨尼集选区在本届大选中爆发行动党、工人党、国民团结党，以及人民力量党之间的四角战，被视为其中一个热点战区。

九天的竞选期即将结束。工人党团队说，这几天走访下来，感受到淡滨尼居民的欢迎。团队表示若当选，现有的住宅改进计划、政府资助项目和社区活动将继续如常推进。

费沙：有信心能管理好市镇会​

团队也有信心，他们在管理工人党其他市镇理事会时累积的经验，将能派上用场。

费沙说，自己当了14年议员，曾担任阿裕尼—后港市镇理事会主席三年，在处理基层事务方面有足够经验。

另一名候选人陈钦德也说，自己身为工人党秘书长毕丹星的秘书助理，在阿裕尼集选区已服务五年，熟知不同民生问题应向哪个机构反馈或寻求帮助，也主办许多社区活动。他说，这些经验，可以分享给团队。

工人党的淡滨尼尚育单选区候选人符策涫则保证，如果胜选，不仅会确保区内原有服务和居民生活不受管理权转移的影响，他也会协助解决进度落后的项目，同时继续与居民交流，聆听他们的诉求。

符策涫本届大选将对上守土的行动党候选人朱倍庆。

Great that WP managed to get the approval of the Condo Management.

Usually, the condo management only approves for PAP to go in to meet residents.
Some condo management even functions similar to RC and invite PAP MPs to come in the condo for interactions...

WP team for 10KKJ is very good, they will be able to get 95% of the anti-PAP votes and also dilute PAP votes as some voters will rather choose known devil from PAP than unknown candidates from mosquito parties, given a strong proper opposition they will switch votes to the oppositions
