If they can form a shadow cabinet like UK with two established political parties -Labour and Conservatives, then we have truly arrived.

The Workers' Party (WP) has unveiled some more 2025 General Election candidates.

Abdul Muhaimin Bin Abdul Malik, Tiong Boon Kiat Kenneth, Siti Alia Binte Abdul Rahim Mattar, and Eileen Chong Pei Shan.

Abdul Muhaimin will be standing in Sengkang. The Senior Property Manager with Aljunied-Hougang Town Council has been spotted on many walkabouts with Sengkang GRC MPs.

Kenneth Tiong will be contesting in Aljunied GRC. He is the director of tech start-up Sensemake AI.

It is still unclear where the other two faces will be running. Alia Mattar is a legal counsel while Chong is a former diplomat and is currently in the social impact sector.

The party also launched their manifesto, which includes five sections and 125 policy proposals.

The first section include measures to target affordability and cost of living concerns, the second section covers economic growth and opportunities, the third section address inclusion and equality within the society, the fourth calls for greater levels of accountability and democracy in Singapore, and the fifth section deals with security and geopolitics, with proposals for strengthening external and internal resilience.

Among the policy proposals include to provide higher allowances for full-time NS men, strengthen food security and lower the voting age to 18.

But sadly the lousy sg influencers are great for the PAP… I know a lot of OLs who love following all these local influencers… mouth say unfair they so rich still get everything for free, but turn around buy everything they recommend… so won’t be surprised if their vote also influenced

They could very well be doing it already... Truly in the shadows (i.e. not official)

It'd greatly aid in their policy crafting and research process. They definitely have a team of policy researchers.

One of tdk guy said something that I agree with though, and 2 of their other members got really try to read up on politics, to be fair.

Along the lines of The fact that you can say you don’t care about politics and things still work for u is because the current system works in your favour and you are the privileged one. The system works in your favour and you are benefitting from the current system but not everyone has that.

and that voting is basically thinking a little beyond yourself. I thought those were very valid and good insights.

Look at the comment section under this post... All the "IBs" activated in full force :s13:

Bots, I might add. (You click on their fake profiles and see their friends list) Then all flood with the same narrative in order to astroturf.

This is the new paradigm. Read clearly, and think critically, folks!

Pritam Singh remains coy about final line-up for Aljunied GRC

Asked if all four incumbent MPs will contest Aljunied GRC, Mr Pritam Singh says he is not ruling anything out.

He then proceeds to ask if the PAP has officially introduced its slates of candidates for Marine Parade and East Coast GRCs.

He comments that the PAP is “very coy” about its final line-ups and that there are “no coincidences to that coyness”.

However, he promises that “everything will be clear” on Nomination Day.

Analysts have speculated that Mr Singh, who is Leader of the Opposition, could leave Aljunied at this election to lead a team in a different GRC.

If Pritam move out it would be a very very risky move 😱 as good as LSL or LW go contest in the East.

I'm guess Giam will move instead.
