True. I think if WP wants to make further in roads in 5 yrs time, Pritam needs to take more risks and do a better job in where he fields his candidates. My guess is Sylvia will move out and lead the team to contest in Punggol in 2030. If she wins, great. If she loses, can retire peacefully with Quah Kim Song.

WP need to us this time to build up their new blood.

1) Kenneth Tiong better be very promising. He got a free pass on Pritam’s team, unlike the rest of the newbies who had to fight very hard and still didn’t make it. He need to use the next 5 yrs to prove himself.

2) WP’s pick of the NCMPs is very important. They need to pick who they want to expose and they ideally should pick one male and one female. For the male, it will be between harpreet, michael and andre. But among the three michael is the best bet for succession runway and not as controversial. For the female, shld be either alexis or eileen to prove mama bear did a good job. My pick is Eileen as she is more capable relative to alexis.

3) For Pritam’s successor, likely to be either Jamus or Louis. See who can be groomed for this role.

4) Hougang SMC needs to be use as a funnel for new candidates that they want to profile. I feel they lost this opportunity this round.

Only Jalan Kayu (Andre) and Tampines team get NCMP slots, one each.

No Harpreet or Alexis

Hmm I'm wasting my time but

Kid ,

If you don't have a house
A family
Loans to pay

You aren't even in the conversation .
The way you have been replying merely shows how much mercy others around you have been in real life.
im right in every aspect , here comes the smart alec
how you know im a kid ?
you need to stop assuming and calling names
1 rich guy dosent mean others are rich , the same applies 1 struggling young gen dosent mean most are struggling
you have to look at the majority through statistics , maybe do some reading first

Haha the way you have been responding my points is enough to draw conclusions

Prolly still in poly

Or jobless

Most of the matured olddies rarely resort to names but data

Ironically when asked for data you have provided non but expected everyone to believe

Am I calling you names when a kid is the maturity of how one is ?

Your credibility here in the conversation amongst us with housing loans, family and work struggle , not even the rare trolls would dare comment like your flappy bird lips

This will be my last response to your limited world exposure kiddo

For point 3, this is where WP needs to be careful. Choosing wrongly could potentially undo everything LTK had built since 2011.

For point 4, agree. Pritam's fielding of the candidates this time round was risk adverse and a bit questionable.

Pritam's successor should not be Jamus since they are both the same age. It should be someone younger. Pritam is still below 50 yo so he still has about 10 years of runway before needing to select his successor. It should be someone from the Michael Thng generation.

Workers' Party chief Pritam Singh gave a statement and spoke to the media at the party's thank-you procession in Eunos, he congratulated Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and the PAP for securing a strong mandate, and added that he "couldn't be prouder" of the WP team for putting up a good fight, he also said the party's work "starts today" as they continue to push for alternative voices and a more balanced Parliament.

I think Pritam predict the ground well and sense Sinkies will become humchee swing back to PAP after the Black Monday which many STI stocks fell 10% or more after Trump announce his tariffs so deside to stay put in Aljunied with Sylvia, next election with high cost of living but no foreign crisis the votes will swing back to opposition
