If if another wave of covid, retail will hit badly. Therefore, all your retail reits price will drop. This is risk assessment to minimize the risk of your portfolio.
Same as 100% reits, the risk is there.
You can google about this to understand better.

Actually there is nothing to worry if one is holding long term.. covid is going to be over eventually..

Downtown more jialat, FCT and CICT malls should be busy. Even in Jurong point, I saw some changes of tenants. I think it will be worst for SPH reits or similar reits.

Hmm, maybe good opportunity to load up small cap reits like SPH? I like their FH and new 99LH....maybe consider to nibble abit.

Buy when the good malls were at most quiet in March / April.
Buy when the stay-home ‘experts’ ‘predicted’ all the malls were doomed and believed all Sinkies bought online / Grab & Panda food away.

Buy when Amazon Prime first arrived and the ‘experts’ said ShengSiong would be like Robinson.

with vaccine and unlimited supply of face mask and whole nation knows what to do ... at most we stuck in our little island restricted to shopping and staycation a bit longer

which reit sector climb back the fastest after the covid sell down, you would have your answer.
my TR advised me to go for MINT and kep DC for short term trading and the bounce was quite a range.
too bad i didn't buy some...

I did KDC for short term when it's 2.35 to 2.5 range but miss the breakout

yup, his portfolio got too much retail reits.
whether sg or overseas, as long as covid doesn't die off, retails reits holders need to prepare for strong possibility that rental income will not improve.

will only have a maximum of 2 retail reits during this period of uncertainty.

maybe he got greater risk appetite.

So far so good la. Currently all green. It's like planting seeds. Will trim and adjust as time goes by. Already gone thru the worse from 15k red tahan until now all green. Am happy with what i have now

It's seem he didn't know, so it's best to warn him early in case things turn bad.
Agree with max 2 retail reits.

If things turn bad i can always get out or ride it thru if i still see hope in the REIT itself. Make sure i avoid those few notorious ones will do (u know which are the ones ppl have been talking about)
