More good news from Japan. Technical recession now.
BoJ can't stop YCC.
More JPY printing to buy JGBs.
Good for Japanese property and US Treasury (UST) bonds for rest of H1 2024.
UST remains more attractive for investment compared to JGBs.
No yield spike in UST.

can also whack some VHYD for more dividends 😅

with tonight's news of hotter than expected inflation, I suppose REITs will get hit again tomorrow. I'll set a $1.05 TP to buy more FLCT.

No luck, back above $1.10 😅 Looks like a green day today.

Singapore Business Times advertisement today:

Japan properties for sale.
With the super-cheap yen, now's the time to invest!

Freehold, no buying/selling restrictions for foreigners, no extra taxes for foreigners!

:ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: You should know what this means.

Why REITS doing badly? Good time to put in larger sum? Currently using Syfe REITs that follows iEdge S-Reits leaders index

Take it as chance to periodically accumulate more units at lower prices.. anyway many global equity at high now, might as well put it in reits while waiting for correction to come.

Yes I agree, its an opportunity to accumulate more good quality REITs.
Higher interest rates will also help to differentiate the weaker from the stronger REITs.
Stronger REITs will emerge even stronger, weaker REITs will disappear / assets get bought over.

Js be mentally prepared that we might be heading towards a structurally higher IR environment for next 1-2 decades.

AI will take a long way/time to relieve inflationary pressures.

iEdge S-Reit index almost at 10 years low. Probably will reach new low after most of the reits XD in March...how much lower can it go if Fed decide to hold rate higher for longer by cutting rate less than 3 times

I also did not expect to see SG REITS dropping so badly this early.

Right now, SREITS are behaving as if another spike in bond yield is coming soon and everyone is scared. Or maybe investors are scared of RECESSION hurting rents again. Or maybe just that projected dividend distribution will remain under pressure as debt refinancings continue at progressively higher rates.

Currently I have not bought any REITS so far.
