Both my CDP and moomoo CICT all below 1.90 but still I will apply for rights. Bluechip SReit is like SGX 3 local bank stocks hard to go bankrupt unless delisted.
To view it rationally, not all their property blue chips, especially the overseas one.
Maybe cict can be considered blue-ish chip :LOL:

rights issue are totally normal events for REIT investors. the big question is whether it is a good rights issue or lousy rights issue.

If gearing is largely maintained and DPU will go up, I don't have a problem with that. I will definitely subscribe and press for excess. any dip in a capitaland REIT due to rights issue is temporary and an opportunity to buy.

So I will say that rights overhang will disappear and C38U year end price will be higher than current price. Whats your call on C38U, you think it will go down in price? We can return to this thread at the end of the year to see what happens to C38U.

I am terrible at stockpicking so i could be wrong but if I am going to press for rights issue and apply excess, I must believe that the price is going to rise, otherwise I should exit the position.

I have roughly the same $$$ amount of C38U and 9CI, so nice rally for 9CI for me. 😅
I don't think the end-of-year price will be higher than $2.15. Need longer time.
What I think is that CICT (C38U) will be between $2 and $2.20 in 2025, i.e. won't go below $2 sometime starting in 2025.

Red = buy
Green = sell

:ROFLMAO:
Actually this strategy depends. Say you already have existing stocks red color will you sell or average down? Sell the loser keep the winner or sell the winner to compensate the loser which you also sell? Or just sell the loser holding the winner?
Loser is red color. Winner is green color.

Heard from youtube teacher that average down can be dangerous even though many people like this method. He used alibaba as example where people average down a lot thinking it will raise back but it didn't.

Right, I see. I thought you have a way to judge it.
No lah, basically I have prices I would buy more for each reit during corrections/crashes. During normal times, just monthly dca on the reits that I want to increase in my holdings.

Negative 75% but still listed correct? Mine is go bankrupt or delisted. Then one delisted send me an A4 size paper stating I own xxx shares of their company. That company is from China. Time when SGX allow a lot of small cat small mouse China companies to list in SGX. Now majority are delisted and some change name and drop the word China from their counter name. I still hold them hence I know. They are trading at 1 or 2 cent now.

BABA is a failed example. In stock investing, you win some, you lose some.

Risk management is important. Always have a % allocation for each stock. Unless you have more than enough good reasons, you shouldn't go above this %.
Buy a stock with tranches.
As for average down, you can set a % like, if the stock goes down example 10%, then enter with 2nd tranche but still within limits of the % allocation.

It's called AVERAGING DOWN during a PULLBACK in a SECULAR BULL TREND.

Most ppl only talk about averaging down minus the part after that.

Averaging down on FCT is fine, since SG retail commercial property is still in bull trend due to long-term 6.9M population target and foreign import.
Averaging down on Manulife US REIT is NOT FINE since US CRE is now in a secular down trend due to WFH & AI.

It was meant to be a joke. I personally don't do this.
