It looks like the word ‘taper’ is here to stay for a while longer. We might be talking about it for a long time yet, with nothing happening. :s22:

"Generally, analysts still expect the Fed to begin reducing stimulus at some point this year. That means that, as the next Fed policy meeting scheduled for Oct. 29-30 draws nearer, stocks could sink amid the same uncertainty and confusion that sent markets into a funk in August."

Guess everybody here is praying for the tapering to start, thus all kept their bullets on hold. Nobody expected the tapering to be delayed, although there were signs along the way.

Postpones tapering, US debt ceiling, German election ... the Fed may be setting the market up for an even larger correction when it finally bites the bullet...

Bernake sort of hinted in his press conference he was glad the market corrected itself on taper fear news, maybe all along his intention.

of course, singpost has stable pricing, maybe yield isn't that great and weathered 2 major corrections in the last few months.

FCT wise, now you know the support and you still want to go in ?
patience is an important virtue when it comes to planning for a good entry price.

My sentiments too since May/June time... Intention was all along to maintain stimulus as long as he could =:p

Any good reit to buy now?

The thread has no new post between 03/09 and 16/09 when the REITs were down @ cheaper price ... just curious :s11:

Wait for opportunity to take advantage of Mr Market’s depressive mood. :s8:
