Genting FAQ - Part 2

Hi all genting expert,

I'll be taking air asia plane to KL and want to straight take bus to genting.

I'll arrive at KL airport at around 9am. I check from aerobus website that there is a 11am bus.

My question is air asia stop at KLIA or LCCT? Where do i purchase and take aerobus & lastly do i need to book the aerobus ticket online?

Just want to check with all anyone of you take a taxi/private car up to genting from lcct? is the market rate 150RM or much more expensive?

Took before, agreed on $130 RM, but end up reached there after sometime because jam. Driver die die ask for $30 RM extra for petrol. Bo bian, LLST, gave him.

Took before, agreed on $130 RM, but end up reached there after sometime because jam. Driver die die ask for $30 RM extra for petrol. Bo bian, LLST, gave him.

Wahhh LCCT to Genting needed RM160 = Approx SGD62?? hmmm thats about the same price if taking coach from SG to Genting ler.

Dun forget that the cost of the flight from SG - LCCT. So all in all its more ex ler am i correct to say so?

Yes bro sign-in for User id and Password are required. Its very simple de you can just register there. Within say 5min can access already.

going to genting this saturday for 4 days. When I think of the food, I feel scare literally.

Last time go almost every meal eat at hou mei. It is expensive and not nice. But it seems to be the only affordable food center in genting. Anyone got other recommendation?

wah, very helpful. I think 160 still reasonable because i have 4 person and each person 40RM consider is a 2 hour drive right and i can also don't need to wait for the bus which cost 35rm per person.

the casino food at 1st world hotel not bad and best of all is cheaper also. Try to use your genting card to see can redeem any meal using 3GP anot. If not, you can always go old town or hao you ji to have your meal

From SG house to Changi - approx 30mins
Check in - approx 45 - 60 mins
Flight - 45mins
Arrival KLIA / LCCT clears custom etc - 20mins
Taxi up Genting - 90mins
Total about approx 4 hours liao.

If Link 2 / Causeway no (killer) jam ... takes approx same or lesser time (night) for me to drive up with one rest stop.

Yeah agree on that but for me hehe i stay in West..near to 2nd link so drive up would be better for me.

Coming back can still detour to Malacca for Lunch etc

Yes KFC in KL cost RM11 and RM18 in GH.
It is the same story for other food outlets. Ask the Resort Hotel doorman for the staff canteen. KL coffee shop prices there. Also IR canteen you get a decent meal for RM15.

There are discount when u present your Worldcard to Marybrown..Think there is a 10% discount or something.

I rem I stayed first world no safe. Another issue is some people say after bring to gentjng laptop spoil as it too cool. Make no sense to me as so many countries have wintee

this happens cos the laptop is cool and kept in a bag or something..then when you leave genting and didn't let it acclimatised, e.g, u turn on it the moment you reach KL, the interior will condense water and short the laptop the moment its turned on.

There are 2 restaurants at mushroom farm - Meijing Restaurant and Mushroom Farm Restaurant. Please be warned not to go to Mushroom Farm Restaurant as it rips off customers - it charged us RM20 for a small plate of roast pork (which would probably cost only RM8 at most in downtown KL), giving the lame excuse that ingredients are more expensive now. And service is appalling.
