You ever personally do that at the old casino? I thought it's locals using their atm card to draw money via the counter.

Yes, confirm can, once u go in turn to left, the big maybank logo on top, can money change and use credit card to take 1000rm or 5000rm or even 10000rm...
But the new casino don't have this Maybank counter

There is one Maybank money exchange outside skycasino on level one opposite the sakura restaurant, beside the escalator to level two.

Not worth exchg SGD to RM @ money changer in Genting. Bring yr SGD & exchg at Genting cashier counter...much more competitive rate - with option to redeem back yr SGD within the day (general area) or within a week @ vip counter.

Like any other money changer - rate is pretty dynamic - moves according to market. But still way better than money changer in Genting. And u can redeem back yr SGD at the very same rate u exchg it earlier.

No doubt of course. But we r discussing abt changing RM in Genting mostly bcuz it's "unplanned" or when u dun hv a choice tat time....lol...

The money exchange is there in case you don't have min. SGD1000 on hand for exchange with Genting non-VIP cashier counter.

Another alternative - open up an account in CIMB SG. The exchg rate is way better than any Genting money changer - pretty close to SG money changer rate as well when u withdraw RM from their ATM in Malaysia. They oso dun charge any overseas withdrawal-fee.

Sounds good, going to make inquiry with CIMB. (This bank~~ Najib's brother opens one, right?)

I ever withdrew RM3k from the Maybank ATM at Genting using my POSBank card, the service charge and exchange rate was like S$60-70.

P/S: Going up this Sunday:s12:

Remember to activate CIMB ATM card for overseas usage if you get it.

Call the Singapore hotline better.
Mon - Sun (9.00am - 9.00pm)
+65 6333 7777

Account can open online but you might want to check if you can get ATM card on the spot if open at branch since you are leaving soon. The Orchard branch open till quite late. Fastsaver savings account 1% interest.
