Genting FAQ - Part 3

I am up in KL at least once a month so I know something about getting there.
There is no easy way to KL let alone RWG.
Bus traffic jam and second link jam especially this year end.
KLIA is almost 100 km from KL and and GH is another hour from KL. The road also passes through KL so daytime traffic could be a serious problem.
Flying to KLIA involve many sectors and immigration there may take 1 hour. So no faster than bus.

avoid jb-sg jam if u can.
if i am not staying in jb hse n still goes up, i will take shuttle train sg-jb-sg. there u only need to q at train immg which is seperated fr the main immg. so u get limited numbers. after that i grab 40rm to senai. why i keep mentioning senai because it's a domestic fight so at subang you just walk thru. i got fed up after paying higher fr changi to kl only to get stuck at their immg; for 2hrs once till i missed the aerobus which i'd booked earlier.

Yes jb-sg is best by train.
Subang there is a express train to kl sentral.
You can change train then to Gombak.
Grab to rwg only take half hour.

recently got 2 GG rms one had this beautiful facing lucky with clear blue sky.

surprised to note cafe richard n motorino closed. i told wifey cafe richard wld close after trying once at 68rm a pot of kopi. so we ordered two pots. no choice because that was their policy. a french manager entertained us but kopi is kopi. its their taste buds. my pref is still local. drinking there is just a style but many more other nice kopi are upstairs. motorino probably also closed for same price reason.

anyway i got a feeling unless genting can bring in new fresh endless stream of visitors fr all over the world, only players will go up regularly. why wld people go up there repeatedly to eat n shop when they can find downhill n in their own countries?

the fact is real high fliers dont care abt pts. its the mediocre ones like me using pts for everthing.

yes....most of my regular kaki dun know how many pts they have
only when they wan buy watch (luxury type ) than go check see enough or not...but they know cfm need GP +20% to get watch....talkin abt SG

I was so absorbed sayang-ing the slots that i didnt explore much the first trip. 2nd trip explored a bit more coming 3rd, i guess i should really visit some of these coffee places and bars...breathe some genting fresh air

There's many bus going back to Singapore daily, even if you missed one. There's not many alternative if you missed the flight.

3 trips over 7 days. Mainly from ETG roulette. Not as fast as your 4k over 2 days.

ETG roulette is just for quick points earning. I'm more of a baccarat player. Once I accidentally bet RM200 on #11 in ETG roulette. Luckily the white ball really dropped on this number. That night I earn 500GP with the winnings over 2hrs.

are the outlet stores like Genting Highlands Premium Outlets and SkyAvenue worth going? Just looking at sports brands and maybe uniqlo, h&m etc.

can advise if going to genting worth it for me? i don't gamble and not into the theme parks.

cos have a free room with relative but have to pay $50 to go there. return ride also not counted. so just no sure worth the time/money/hassle (6+6 hr rides) to go there just for this.

Genting Premium outlets have products at discounted rate but don’t expect the newest designs. It’s mainly for them to clear the previous season stock.

For example, PUMA shoe selling for $100+ would cost around $80 there. Coach bag also have around 20% discount from SG price.

others might say cmi some say many good deals...maybe depend on time of ur visit

myself only go there for local brand PADINI KIDS which is not available uphill

u shld take vaxvms suggestion to look see for yourself because gh now is quite different even gpo is different fr jpo. its all in the feel!

but if u want a guarantee for its worth even for a first try, then i suggest u go jpo. your sgd50 can already buy u something..

Book hotel separately via Genting website or Agoda will be cheaper.
