Actually the new Genting is really much better than the old one. Much more non gambling activities even if that is the main draw still. Actually I spend only 2 or 3 hours in the casino and I enjoy eating the food there and also chill at some of the cafe there...and shopping is definitely way better than the old one.

i met my brother who came fr europe in kl and brought him up there a year ago and he was quite stunned. i mean as a sporean he had been there b4 but that was umpteen yrs ago. he told me i need not go europe to experience the modern entertainment in a natural cool atmosphere. obviously i said and thats why many sporean love coming up. anyway he strolled whole of skyavenue when i was inside casino and he loved it. he related he enjoyed most at tokyo secret where he had a tart and a cup of coffee reminding him of his first date.

Skyavenue is spacious and nice to walk about. Much better than our Orchard Road malls which are so crowded. Maybe because most people at casino or theme park.

Love the cable car ride. And much longer and cheaper than the Sentosa cable car. I always go for joyride.

Also enjoy Chin Swee Temple. Now they open coffee Cafe. Can go there to sit outside and enjoy the cool air and mountain scenary. But need to avoid noon as it can still be warm. Best is to go after rain. Misty like walking in the cloud.

That time I ate that hotpot..the fellow came and use the ladle to keep stirring my soup and scoop out the ingredients to see. At first I thought he was helping to remove the oily layer but I got irritated when he was still stirring the hotpot after a while. I asked what u doing? Then he said he looking to see if my fish skin has been served. Then I said u could have asked, why need to search in my soup. Then he said cos system said not served yet.

remember i had to rush back early 17mar20 morning to spore? this was the cable car down at 0714hrs. a last memorable view for a long time. didnt tell you guys one thing, inside this skyway down to awana sat another guy actually. my wife asked him if he knew abt the first bus timing to kl sentral. without even thinking he blurted '7.30am'. wow how this guy knows abt this. anyway we reached awana side at abt 7.20 or so then i straightaway went to get the bus ticket. wow everything was on time we thought. then when the genting bus to kl sentral arrived, guess what? that guy who told us the hus timing was the same bus ticket collection officer! no wonder he was so sure of the timing. my wife n i had a good laugh amidst the rush....
