Stayed 4N in Genting Highlands from 11/6 to 15/6 and my experience is as follows:
Casino SkyWorld
1) Silver card can access to Level 3 now (which is meant for Gold and above);
2) Smokers everywhere except Good Luck Restaurant. No one complies to non smoking signs. Level 1 environment is the worst because it is similar to those 3 stars hotel casino in Macau. Some of them will smoke beside or behind you when you are playing the slot machine;
3) Not enough staff to help if membership card is jammed at slot machines;
4) Not enough table for Caribbean Stud and must queue to play;
5) No 3 Cards Poker on days when there are not enough staff;
6) Always remember to check and print your reward voucher(s) earned that day before it is reset the next day. The voucher is valid till the next day;
7) 5TPs entitle to 1 free meal, 18TPs entitle to RM50 durian voucher, 1-way Skyway from Monday to Thursday (can't remember how many TP but I claimed more than one voucher) and 1 set of hamburger with fries outside casino (can't remember how many TP); and
8) New and renew membership is given a discount booklet with 50% discount voucher for a 2-way Skyway ride.

Stayed 4N in FWH Y5 Triple room from 11/6 to 15/6 and my experience is as follows:
Hotel
1) Room is only comfortable for 2 occupiers;
2) Cleanliness is 6/10 (less the dirty window);
3) House keeping once in every 4 nights. Replace towels and empty dustbins everyday;
4) Bring own toothbrush/toothpaste or pay RM5/pax at vending machines;
5) Tower 3 only have 6 lifts serving 2nd ~ 28th storey. Hence, it will be better to use Tower 2 lift lobbies via corridor after water dispenser area (6 lifts serving 2th ~ 14th storey, and another 6 lifts serving 15th & above); and
6) Only allow to select 1 of the pay options (mountain view, high floor or non smoking). There is a row of non smoking face inside generator Y5 Triple Room at 4th storey. Thank God mine is at 9th storey and the noise was not loud unless I stand near the window.

Surprised that the machine doesn't offer option for selecting Genting view (facing other hotels and the legendary Genting logo afar).

I was staying at 9983. Only can pay and select 1 option that is non smoking room for me.

Good enough. At least the system didn't give you the zero-sunlight inward-facing room opposite your row.
Genting is really blood sucker now. Previously non-smoking floor selection was free of charge.

Sad. Means they retrenched a lot of staff. I usually stay at Y5 triple pre pandemic. Housekeeping staff all very nice.

Because I am usually in the room when they come round, I will just ask them to replace the towels and toiletries and empty the bins. Now become the norm

My wife used to get Genting Grand foc during pre covid days as she plays the slot machines heavily. I only hit the tables with small stakes so was never offered to me.

Booked hotel from Agoda, when I self-checked in, there were no record, I had to ask for assistance but the queue was super long, it took us an hour to complete our checkin. Wasted so much of our time. Recommend to put luggage at the free luggage storage, only check in after done playing at the theme park at 6pm.

Early check-in surcharge seems to have increased.

Are they strict on the checkout 11am now ?

Looks like the 3-tier early check-in surcharge is already in place since 2015. Not sure about 2014 and before.

Was at First World Hotel Lobby at 10.30am to check-in. The official check-in time is 3pm. Now there is an early check-in charge RM20/room, regardless whether at the counter or self-check-in kiosk.

1 man was telling me it would be RM10 for after 12pm.

Another Tripadvisor review in 2015 claimed RM5 surcharge upon 8.30am early check-in.

830am went back to first world lobby.
Did not wanna give up so try self check in.
Tips: Look at the TV screen on top for available rooms.
Eg if they have a standard room ready for check in, they will show standard room :
1 available.
Early check in surcharge is RM5.
You can pay via your GP or in ringgits.
Remember to get your passport and Genting reward card ready.
I was not familiar at first and did not click the surcharge RM5 on top of the page.
You must click that plus the room type in order to check in properly.

IMO try not to drag over 11am, judging from the tight room supply on rwg website (or maybe just me as Classic member). Not sure whether it's possible to have 15-30 min buffer in the room before cleaners come in if I check out (ie. deactivate Digital Key) via Genting app at 11am sharp - well, I'm still waiting for more reviews on mobile check-in experience before I do it on my own few weeks later.

1) No difference, pure luck
2) Early Check-In, Lousy rooms leftover rooms.
3) Late Check-In, More Choice as Bulk had left at the right time.

Apparently housekeeping coordination is a disaster in First World Hotel right now.

"Acceptable”
We requested for early check in (were ready to pay extra fee) still they made us wait for 4.5 hours before alloting a room. Finally at 11 am after multiple requests we got a room. But they provided a smoking room despite booking for a non-smoking room. The cleanliness is not very great. Secondly after checking-in, we kept our luggage in the room and left to explore the theme parks and other activities. Later at 6 pm when we returned to our rooms, we observed that someone had entered our rooms since another key card was there in the room. There is no safety in this hotel since any other person could access your room. After updating about the incident to the staff, they said we shall investigate and inform you but in may take couple of days. After arguments, they said they will expedite and update about the investigation in few hours. After 4 hours, they called us and informed it was hotel staff who had entered twice in our room for cleaning. They said they sending a staff to our room for showing the footage, however, no one turned up. However, we had noticed the room wasn't cleant as the bath towels were lying as it is, bed wasn't made up, trash was lying as it is. So room was definitely not cleant so what was the staff doing in our room? We just checked in so why was there a need to access our rooms for cleaning? All the reasons doesn't make sense. Luckily, none of our valuables were missing. However, we do not recommend this hotel. Despite being world's largest hotel, there is 0% safety.

@givansingapore is right. Judging from the reviews, it's definitely safer to pay RM5 early check-in before 3pm as "convenience tax" for faster process and higher certainty of room availability (any room, not just good/bad room).

"Affordable and comfortable”

When booking first world hotel from Agoda, you need to know that you have to do self check in at the kiosk. Before check-in at kioks, please make you see the screen if your room type is available. If your room type available, you may check in successfully. Even it stated check in at 3pm, it doesn't mean you going to have your room at 3pm. You have to check in at the kioks manually when you see your room type available at the screen.

"Very dirty, very small, staff very rude”

Check in time was a waste of time all using kiosk and everyone was pushing each other to check in cause if the number of rooms on the screen teaches 0, we will have to wait till night time yo check in which is ridiculous.

3) We need to FIGHT for our room even we already paid for it! Everybody is fighting for the room key even we all have paid for the hotel, for those overseas traveller who don’t own car to Genting, please aware to stay in this hotel because you’ll get ignored even you paid for the hotel! By right 3pm to check-in, Ends up we only successfully received our room key at 8pm!

"Poor customer service and bad experience in checking in.”

Wanted to come and check in seamlesslg and ended up need to vie with the rest of the casino guests for the rooms although the rooms have been reserved and we came around 4pm.
