It is to avoid the need to go through long queing/waiting time during check-in or membership card update. The new passport number can get updated later when queue is shorter or at a more convenient time. This issue will still happened 10yrs later if their system only rely on passport number as the main primary key.

anyway many old passport no punch hole as expired during renew so no need show ICA old passport

But i book for 2 night free room 2 weeks ago yet never turn up.
In the end they never deduct my GP.

Just cancel by sending an email to customercare@rwgenting.com - nothing difficult.

Some bros alrdy feedback their GP's had been deducted - consider yrself lucky then.

But that's beside the point - u r actually depriving others of the opportunity - those who need rooms but not able to book as rooms were fully booked especially during the June school holidays.

if no go i will make an effort email them to release the room ....be it they wan deduct GP or not....just a courtesy email

The one outside FWH opens at 9.30am, near mac opens at 8.30am. Sky Ave opens at 8am on wkends.

Not too sure which one you mean by the sky avenue location. The one next to the cable car station already closed down even when I was there in early May.

I believe the mentioned breakfast location is on the same level as Din Tai Fung.

I believe at entrance to casino alrdy u will be cautioned by security guard.

Hi all,is it very seldom can get free room on saturday night? Only manage to find one weekend available for booking in Sept.

Secured 23-25 Dec comp room at FWH last week. Deluxe Room.
Hope I can get a wooden-floored room like the one in Y5 Triple, so that I won't need to bring mini vacuum. Heard that carpet floor is way dirtier.

If there is 2 or 3 person sharing a room, last time ask for more physical key cards. With this digital key, all 3 need to use the app as key ?

with digital key, they will still give you physical cards and even 2. I guess they fear their app cock up then whole world will be stuck at front desk hahaha

The app only allows 2 digital cards. Both holders must be member with app installed.
2nd card holder's membership number should be entered upon checking in. Only 1st card holder's document verification is required at digital key activation kiosk. Once done, 2nd card holder has his/her activated key found in the app automatically.

No physical key card was given to me, though.

Huh? Now not need to slot card to switch on power, i had not seen such requirement since 2018 in FWH.
This week, My TV, TVbox and room fan remained switched on after leaving room, T2, 27th Floor, Deluxe.

Me old uncle like gadgets too.. can impress xmm with my tech gadgets.

FWH T3 rooms require the card insertion for power. The other hotels like Highlands, G. Grand and Crockfords rooms all have card slots for power activation. The counter staff in Highlands always ask if I want dummy cards in the past. I will use my member card as room key to reduce the number of cards that I carry around.

Depending on which Tower - Tower 1 no need.

T3 room (Level 8) requires card insertion for power. Any kopitiam/petrol card can do.

I did see guyz with berms n slippers...yes, they need to profile yr full face via their face recognition camera system...u r easily tracked around if they suspect u of hanky panky...

At MBS, you are allowed to wear the cap but you need to wear it backward to show yr face. Not sure genting allows that.

Berms , yes, i do wear them with sandal. Slipper not sure.

Is the food factory breakfast opened to tour groups? i was on my way to gold club entrance via 8th floor, was surprised to see a group of people entering the Food Factory, but the place quite empty. My guess that it only catered for tourist from large overseas groups, not walk-in.

On my way back at noon time, it was shuttered closed.

I missed buffets, especially when Coffee Terrace closed down.
