KUALA LUMPUR: Two Chinese nationals died when a tour bus carrying 21 people landed on its side while descending Genting Highlands at about 11am today.

Pahang fire and rescue department director Wan Zaidi Wan Isa said both the male victims suffered head injuries.

“Their bodies were sent to Bentong Hospital,” he said.

He said those on board the bus comprised 18 Chinese nationals, the bus driver and two tour guides.

I had sat in the first row and the last row and mostly at the centre..
My experience:

First row, frightening experience as the drivers will give you good view like sitting next Takumi in his AE86.
The louder noise from the honking when passing bus from same company.

Last Row, the suspension give u the free rollercoaster experience.
For every 1cm road bump, you will lift up from your seat 2cm.
You won't be able to sleep well.

Dont take seat far behind if you are the types hate to wait in a queue.

As for passenger safety.. u wont be safe anywhere if you do not buckle the safety belt.

Genting accident: Tour bus driver has no licence, 27 traffic violations, say cops

Saturday, 29 Jun 20247:29 PM MYT

KUALA LUMPUR: The driver of the tour bus that crashed on the way down from Genting Highlands at about 11am on Saturday (June 29), killing two tourists from China, does not have a driving licence and has a record of traffic violations.

Bentong police chief Supt Zaiham Mohd Kahar said further investigation into the 32-year-old bus driver revealed that he had 27 previous traffic summonses for various offences.

According to Zaiham, the two male victims who died at the scene were identified as Zhang Ping, 58, and Wang Shuhong, 49.

He said the accident involved 18 foreign tourists, along with the bus driver, an assistant, and a tourist guide.

"The bodies of the two victims were taken to Bentong Hospital, along with six injured victims, while 13 other injured victims were taken to Kuala Lumpur Hospital," he said on Thursday (June 27).

Earlier, Bernama reported that two China nationals died after their tour bus skidded and hit a road divider at KM 16.5 of Jalan Turun Genting Highlands, Pahang, on its way to the capital. — Bernama

If take normal just grab, around 130rm without surge. Grabplus will be around 40 more, 170ish rm.

Grabplus means newer cars. And usually vios, city. Justgrab? See heng suay already. May get those cars, manual wind windows type.

Best option depends on your bladder and your prrfernce to break up the journey or not.

you can coach direct from klia but limited timeslots

Grab from klia

or klexpress to klsentral and grab up or coach up (this is my preference)
